AsalaamsWW - Would shooting practice with a rifle (i.e. on clay ducks!) carry the same rewards/status as archery?

how did this event go btw?

p.s. also checking if i can reply without the need to add the event info - was a gripe of mine. but inshallah now fixed.

We are told that we are rewarded for every step we take to the mosque, and for those who must drive, get rewarded for every turn of the wheel. So why not, it's the same form of archery.

Weapons have changed, the intention has not. The reward will be the same, (if not greater) as we are in a time thousands of years away from the first generation and still defending the truth.
