The questions put forth are a combination of concerns from the forum members of muftisays.com. They are not pro or anti vaccine but genuine concerns based on available information. Also, some of the questions assume you are promoting the taking of vaccines. If that is not the case, kindly address is accordingly.

Questions:

1. A very widespread and common misconception amongst lay people is that vaccines are medicine. In the strictest sense of the word, physicians agree that vaccines are not medicine. We are fully aware that medicines for treatment are permitted in Islam to such an extent that even Haram ingredients become permitted if there's no alternative available.

Published ingredients (harmful):

  • ALC-0315 (unknown for research as confirmed by physicists)
  • 4-hydroxybutyl: Toxic/Corrosive (classified in reproductive toxicity categories 1A or 1B)
  • Polyethylene glycol: Never used before on vaccines and published 70% allergic reactions
  • 1,2-Distearoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine: Toxic (classified in acute, skin, eye, carcinogenicity, reproductive and organ toxicity categories 1, 1A/1B, 2, 2A, 3 and 4)
  • Potassium Chloride: Side effects for certain levels. A) Levels not published B) Restrictions of dosage not followed for this vaccine.
  • Potassium Dihydrogen Phosphate: Irritant (irritant effects, gastric pain, diarrhoea, nausea, vomiting, and discomfort)
  • Sodium Chloride: Metal halide with known published side effects
  • Disodium Hydrogen Phosphate Dihydrate: Toxic (corrosive irritant)

What is the ruling for when Ulamaa make Haram or harmful toxic ingredients Halal on a vaccine which is not medicine, does not contain any traces of the original virus, does not guarantee immunity, does not prevent transmission and has not been tested extensively against a virus that has never been isolated?

2. In relation to number 2, what is the ruling for someone who uses the same logic above and says he's treating himself by taking harmful class A and class B drugs to prevent himself from mental health? Why would the logic be valid for harmful vaccines but not for harmful non-intoxicating drugs.

3. Are Muslim doctors and Ulamaa sinful and liable in Islam for promoting and even pushing an experimental injection on social media and local Masjids when it has been proven to cause more adverse effects (VAERS) including deaths, permanent injuries, miscarriages and hospitalisations than the controversial Covid itself? In the same way, are they sinful and liable for stopping people from taking it? What would be the difference between "promoting it should it cause harm by taking it" and "stopping others from it should it cause harm by not taking it"?

4. Thousands of doctors have taken a stand with no financial gains publishing career ending statements to warn others in line with keeping their oaths to not do harm to any patient. If a Muslim chooses to go by their advice as more reliable than an agenda which is benefiting the politicians and pharmaceuticals industries financially (in figures of billions) then is a person wrong to do this? If so, why?

6. What is the ruling on pushing the vaccine onto friends and family when the person has absolute no factual knowledge about it? This is not about taking it but about pushing others to it without knowledge on the subject. Is this behaviour classed as Haraam?

7. If your current board and group are promoting the vaccine then would you take responsibility for the damage it may cause? If yes, can you please state that clearly and why you do take responsibility. If no, what are the reasons you promoting it when the vaccine:

  1. does not guarantee immunity
  2. does not prevent you spreading it
  3. does not prevent you catching it again
  4. does not give back any rights that have been taken (still have mask up etc.)
  5. does not contain any traces of the virus it's supposed to protect you from
  6. type has never been approved (mRNA)
  7. is known to cause death, injury, hospitalisation, miscarriage
  8. has not been tested extensively against a virus that has never been isolated
  9. makers cannot be sued or held liable even if it kills every person who has taken it

This is not for verification, the above is already extensively proven and available from many sources. The question is if the board accepts responsibility for promoting it considering that it's admittedly experimental, not medicine and not a guaranteed preventative measure.

8. They are now saying that a person will have to keep taking the vaccine every 6 months for the rest of their lives. This concern is based on verses like "and we created mankind in the best of forms" (Qur'aan). The doubts raised is for example, "Is the creation of Allah so faulty with an almost non-existent immune system that we should give in to non-medicinal engineered injections?" Members have raised concerned about this specifically in light of "creation". How can this be answered Islamically or medically.

9. In Islam, is coercion permissible? If yes, what's the conditions? Does this mRNA vaccine fall into the category? If yes, as far as we are aware, coercion is not permissible even on prisoners of war so why is it permissible here? Currently, coercion is what the government, NHS are currently doing through the BBC. Please clarify. Is this permitted in medicine? Has this ever been done before in medicine? Is it permitted in Islam?

10. Medically, if a person is confirmed to be immune , should they take the vaccine despite all the concerns raised?

I will end the questions here. a member will be posting this on the forum and we await your answers on the live Q&A to publish on the same thread where the live event will be promoted for you also.

Jazakumullah

We sincerely appreciate your efforts on ducation.

On behalf of muftisays.com forum members (public)

The vaccine doesn't stop you from spreading or catching the virus. So how will restrictions be lifted for the vaccinated subjects? The only difference between a vaccinated subject and a non vaccinated person is that the subject will not feel as sick as the person with a weaker immune system or an asymptomatic person.

Where is the data about the long term effects?

Is there data about the experimental vaccine being tested on people taking long term medication?

Where is the data on the vaccine being tested on all groups?

The swine flu jab was allegedly safe but left 1000s of people with a neurological conditions.

The VAERS (vaccination adverse reporting system) has reported deaths and serious adverse reactions in a few hundred/thousand people worldwide. Islamicly, does this justify an experimental vaccine, considering one will not know if there will be a side effect after taking the vaccine, is this considered a gamble?

Experts are saying that such technology has never been trialled on humans!

The phase 3 trials run until 2030. What does this mean? Are we guinea pigs?

Can you guarantee me that nothing will happen to me after taking the jab?

I will submit these except for the question in the first paragraph as that's slightly similar to the one already sent and also it's to do with policies related to the vaccinated. The restrictions are not connected directly to vaccine but connected to the alleged virus.

So it's better to keep the questions related to taking or not taking the experimental vaccine.

I hope that's okay.

The U.K. has secured 30 million doses of the Johnson and Johnson vaccine, with the option of purchasing an additional 22 million.

The ingredients contain fetal tissues or cell lines, will this vaccine be permitted for Muslims in the UK and around the world?

I didn't hear it but I heard from Mufti Amjad himself, he said it didn't go down too well unfortunately. There were a group of people who turned up and messed things up halfway through the session.

I've asked Mufti Saab if it would be possible to get the responses, so we will have to be patient about it.
