🔭Course Overview:
At Darul Ilm we recognise that emotional Well-being and Mental Health challenges can be overwhelming or even debilitating, This is especially true in today's context of new-age stresses, the pandemic,  confounded by long periods of lock-downs and  self-isolation.

This course aims to provide our esteemed learners with a refreshing Islamic prespective on Emotional Well-being and issues of Mental Health with creative methods of self-help in accordance with the Noble Quran and the Sunnah of our Beloved Prophetﷺ

📚Course Content:
• Emotional Wellbeing & Mental Health from an Islamic Presepective.
• Creative strategies to effectively manage Mental Health conditions in light of the Noble Quran and Hadith.
• The essential role of Salah, Sadaqah and Zhikr as tools of Istiaanah (seeking divine help of Allah SWT)
• The essential role of Islamic Mindfulness and meditation through Quranic recitation, Dua, Zhikr, Taffakur, Taddabbur and Astaghfaar.
• The essential role of Gratitude (Shukr) and Seeking forgiveness (Astaghfaar).
• Self-help and Mental Health First Aid.
• Methodological approaches and disciplines prescribed by the Noble Quran & Sunnah of our Beloved Prophetﷺ and respected islamic scholars (e.g. Imam Ghazali).

🎯 Learning Outcomes :
This course will support the development of:
• an understanding of Emotional Well-being & Mental Health
• understanding & recognition of internal & external triggers
• coping strategies based on recommended practices, prescribed by the Noble Quran and Sunnah of our Beloved Prophetﷺ.
• an enabling attitude through gratitude and Astaghfaar.
• constructive self-reflection and introspection - Mindfulness.

🎓In practice:
• To develop a transformational discipline, in accordance with The Noble Quran and The Sunnah of our Beloved Prophetﷺ.
• Establish a repertoire of self-help and mindfulness approaches (e.g. Zhikr and Darood Shareef).
• Use of daily Azhkaar and recitation of The Noble Quran as Islamic Mental Health First Aid approaches.
