Speaker: Ustadha Mira Malaika

Mirah Malaika is a former Christian revert to Islam. Having grown up in a family of priests and theologians, she studied a lot about Christianity and was very active at the local church which was led by her father who is a priest.

Upon reverting to Islam, she quickly got into studying Islamic Studies and Islamic Psychology both at university and madrasah. Today, she holds a Diploma and a Bachelorâ€™s degree in Islamic studies, a Bachelorâ€™s degree in Islamic Psychology, and several certificates in Muslim Chaplaincy and counselling. She currently studies Alimiyyah at Darul Ilm Birmingham and her Masterâ€™s degree in Islamic Studies.

Due to her background, she has been active in interreligious/interfaith dialogue. During her studies at university, she studied several courses about comparative religion and interreligious dialogue under Prof. Dr. James Jones and other notable teachers.
