Assalamu Alaykum,

I have a sincere question. Why do the brothers of the west (not all ofcourse) pick and choose?

When the same Allama Khalid Mahmood (DB) says something about Sahaba (RA), his views are accepted. And when the same Allama Khalid Mahmood (DB) says something about barelvis, then his views are not accepted, and rejected with the tag of "sub-continent baggage"?

The topic of Shia can also be rejected with the tag of "syrian baggage".
The topic of Hanafi-Shafi can be also rejected with the tag of "iraqi baggage".

W-Salam,

Do you agree 100% with all the opinions of all 100% of your teachers? It is also a sincere and honest question.

Exactly, are Shayks perfect and infalliable that we must accept everything from them as as correct or accept nothing at all?

better question for maulana to ask would have been...on what basis do you pick and choose?

its nothing to do with picking and choosing. why are you always looking to pick fights? Allamah book was written ages ago when brealwis were causing fitnah. he clarified all lies and deceit of ahmed raza khan and what the bealwis made up against the elders of deo.

u dont even like in the Uk but u talk as if you are an expert. apart from a few clowns popping up here and there most muslims in the UK aint even got time for theses debabtes anymore. infact were i live deos and brealwis are working along side each other dealing with more important issues like islamaphobia, prevent and new laws which target muslim.

what do u want us to do? muslim kids gettin taken away and we start arguing haazir naadir? its reasons like this people end up apostising. islam is under attack and muslims are so thick they wana debate each other over petty stuff. like i said before. SLAVES ONLY FEEL COMFORTABLE FIGHTING SLAVES.

i respect a brealwi/salafi who is above pettu squabbles and wants to work together defending islam than deo scholars who are cowards against non muslims but act liek lions against fellow muslims. if u think its only non deos who sometimes are brown noses u havnt met 'shaykh' ibrahm mogra. i wont be suprisesd if he joins quilliam

Wow brother, calm down. Why are you always so aggressive towards me? I am sorry if I touched a nerve or two.

Sorry to say, you are very quick to jump onto conclusions without knowing facts. Yes I have been to UK, and 60% of my family and in-laws are in UK. So you again make a comment without knowing my background.

And in my last thread, I wrote clearly that shaikhs are fallible, and that a layman should not go into minor petty issues. Why don't you read properly, brother? Is there something personal with me?

And I am a student of ilm, and love academic discussions. When and where have I started or tried to pick a fight? Very disappointing remarks from you.

And I have been active in deeni struggle for over 10 years. Again you don't know me, and you accuse me that our kids are taken away, and we should instead talk about haazir naazir? What a pathetic comment.

Anyways, I am sorry for putting you and others off. MODS, is there a way to delete my account name?

Dear brother, I wrote in my previous thread, AT LENGTH, that shaikhs are fallible. Infact I wrote some 5-6 major issues going on where I humbly disagree with akabir.

Why is it so difficult to comprehend?

Yes, I don't agree with 100% of my teachers, but there is always a nicer way of saying things. Disagreeing, but at the same time, maintaining respect of Ulema, is one thing, and disagreeing and then using harsh words or disrespecting tone (a trait of salafis) is another.

Anyways, English is not my first language, and that's why I have not been able to make my point of views clear.

I have completed whole Sahih Bukhari and Sahih Muslim directly under Mufti Taqi Usmani (DB) and Mufti Rafi Usmani (DB). The same Shaykh (Mufti) Taqi Usmani (HA), who is so glorified by people here. If I tell you some of his views, then the same people glorifying him would take out the words of "Shaykh" and "Mufti" from his name.

Anyways, I am out of here.

i apologise if my post came across aggressive there is no need to leave. but u asked why are we picking and choosing. no one was picking and choosing. iv not met a single deobandi who said what Allamah says about brealwis is wrong, infact i and most will say its the best book you can get on braelwis and their deviancy. i believe its over 9 volumes. so i dont know what makes you think we reject his works.

also from the other threads let the ulema debate with their ulema if thats what they want to do. its not for laymen like me to go around asking a random muslim who i only just met is the prophet naazir and bashar. i respect u are a scholar and into academic discussion but evne you will agree its better for you to take it up with brealwi and salafi scholars. if u come london be free to meet pir abdul qadir jilani who is a extreme brealwi who calls every1 a wahhabi kaafir gushtak, but his followers are dwindling. most are just same family of mirpuris lol. anway accept my apologies if i came across harsh i have benefitted from your posts on non secertian posts and maybe its just english not being your 1st langauge why me and others get your messages wrong and feel you are too pro deo. i say it openly too our akaabir were prob the best group of men to exist in the past few 100 years without a date. fact we had so many all at same time in same area. but they are gone now. we shouldnt just live off their legacy. they came and did their work and left. now its our turn to do OUR work not just go on about how great they were.

i biggest issue with deo scholars is when it comes to current affairs, politics, jihad they seem to be very out of touch and seem to scared to speak out. in terms of aqeedah and everything else they are amazing especially tassawuf

Mufti Saheb,

I read a discussion between Allamah Qasim Nanotwi (RA) and Nawab Sidieeq Hasan Khan (RA) in which Nawab Saheb produced some text of "Allamah Shaami".

Hazrat replied "I am a Muqallid of Imam Abu Haneefa (RA) and not Allamah Shaami (RA)....He is not from Salaf so there is no obligation on me to become his Muqallid..."

The second response is that we don't pick and chose, we take the opinion of our Ulama e.g. Shaykh (Dr) Abdur-Rahman Mangera (HA) who are born and raised in this country and don't have such a harsh view of Barelwees of UK (in general)...

My Brother you need to calm down, and with all due respect many of your posts come across as angry, and frustrated.

You seem very young you probably have no idea the condition the muslim community was in 30 years ago...Hardly any youth in daily prayers if you went to a regular salaah you would have found a handful of men over the age of 50 and , no concept of Hijaab, I went to a school that was 98% Muslim there was only one girl in entire School that I remember wearing Hijaab, the rest had Dupattas around there necks like Bollywood actresses. You never saw any youth wearing Imamah there was no concept of such a thing, no Islamic lectures in English, hardly any books available in Islam in English...People had more affinity with their cultural rituals then with Islam......, Bollywood, Bhangra Music, Urdu Ghazzals it was about holding to our cultural identity.

Then came 90's and in the early 1990's media declared that we the west have defeated Russia and the Communist empire of the Soviet Union, the only threat to us is Islam. So began the relentless propaganda, this led the youth to study their religion and so began the revival.

It is the grace of ALLAH that he has used the very Kuffar who want to exterminate Islam to help revive the deen in this country.

Fast forward to today, and the propaganda of the same media and establishment has reached its zenith, this is leading Most Muslim Youth be it Deobandi, Barelwi, salaafi, Ahle Hadith, to realise that the very foundations of Islam are under attack and instead of focusing on each other to start pulling in the same direction in the defence of Islam.... The biggest obstacle for us as Muslims has been disunity, and since David Cameron has come along he is helping unite the Muslims....How amazing are the plans of ALLAH.

ALLAH is the best of planners and he has control over everything, so no need to despair, success is guranteed.

Bro, Cool it a little bit. You don't know WHO you are talking to. Mufti Abu Bilal:

  1. He comes from a highly respected, educated, professional family
  2. He has an MBA
  3. He is also a Mufti
  4. He is involved with a lot of effort for Deen which 99.99% Muslims can also dream of
  5. He is fluent in multiple languages
  6. He is very active in Dawah
  7. He is connected with a lot of top Ulama
  8. He is very forward thinking and open to ideas

I DO NOT know why he thinks what we think when we actually don't. 99.99% of us think like him. The ONLY THING I disagree with him is to bring Barelwee/Deobandi issues to UK even for refutation....

As a person he is TEN TIMES a Scholar you will find in Britain, both as a person and as a Scholar. He is 110% not a Hazrat worshipper from any stretch of imagination whatsoever.

Hazrat Situation here in Britain is critical indeed in most of Europe , along with America Canada and even Australia, ...I remember a Shaykh mentioning years ago that when the forces of the Kuffar had gathered to exterminate Islam. The Muslim Ulemah of Andalus were too busy to notice and instead embroiled in debates.

There is an old saying in English "those who forget the past are doomed to repeat it". So we can learn from the mistakes of the Ulemah of Andalus and Granada.... If we follow their example of embroiling ouselves in debates we will perish.

The attacks on Islam are like a Tornado (Toofan) and we are sitting in the middle.......The forces of Kuffar and the decendants of Abdullah ibn Ubay bin Salul have united and inviting and competing with each other to attack Islam.

When the very foundations of the Deen are under threat, then we need a united strategy amongst all those who consider themselves Sunni i.e. Deobandi, Barelvi, Jammat e Islami, Ikhwani, Salaafi, Ahle Hadith etc to address this challenge...!The Enemies of the Sahabah as well as their offshoots, Ismaili Aga Khanis, Nusayris, Alevis, Qadiyanis as well as the modernists have aligned themselves with the Enemies of Islam.

So hence we the Muslims realise that we need to acquaint ourselves and immerse ouselves in the Love of the Sahabah if we are to scucceed and Allamah Khalid Mahmood (DB) is doing a great service in this regard.

You have to note that many of our older Ulemah do not speak English, and fully acquainted with attacks and strategies being used to dismantle Islam...So as Muadh pointed out the Ulemah we are looking towards to help lead the way are the Younger Generation.

I hope this helps.
