Asslamo Allaikum,
Al-Maghrib is a Salafi institue and so is (Shaykh) Saad Tasleem, they are mild in nature but Salafi nonetheless. One of the most professional organisations in the west so anybody who attends will be seriously impressed. Our (Deobandi) programs in comparison are chaotic, unprofessionally and badly organised and run except for a few (minor) exceptions and the matter is discussed on Sunniforum in detail.
Fortunately in Birmigham there is http://www.as-suffa.org/ which is run by Maulana Zahir Mahmood (HA) and very very good.
There is also Al-Habib Trust Birmingham where most courses and programs are done with Mushwara of Shaykh (Maulan) Syed Bahauddin Naqshbandi-Mujaddidi (HA)
Al-Maghrib is very Marketing savvy and they go for young, charismatic Scholars like (Shaykh) Saad Tasleem who they know the youngsters love to chill with and they maximise this potential as evident from his program on Al-Maghrib called, "Fiqh of Chillin'"
We have been warning our Ulamah about these matters before Al-Maghrib even got off the ground and now Deobandees have a problem in UK & South Africa, o well...
This cannot be undone and I am sure it will be greatly appreciated.
