Q. I want to know if salahuddin yousuf is a salafi...i think he is and i have a copy of this particular Riyaadhus Saliheen and much of the commentary is "unauthentic"..can you help as i need to be sure?
Basically the article there says that this particular copy of Imam an Nawawi's Riyaadhus Saaliheen with the commentary by Salaahuddin Yousuf (Darussalaam) is "tampered" and should be avoided.

The copy I posted is a translation not from Hafiz Salaahuddin Yousuf rather from Sister Aisha Bewley (London)
My praise is for the original writer Imam Nawawi (RA) who compiled the book 800 years ago and may Allah (SWT) reward him in this world and the next (Ameen). It is one of my favourite books.
I haven't really read the Darus-Salam version and haven't propagated it.
This cannot be undone and I am sure it will be greatly appreciated.
