This is a tricky story.

One shaykh was requested to offer dua for rains, there was a big demand for rain.

Shaykh dipped his blanket, clothes in water and asked his disciples to dry them in the hot son. No duas....

Result:

Dark clouds, it started raining heavily......

This is between master and his beloved slave.... don't misinterpret.

Bismillah.

I am not sure what you are trying to state. Or how it is relevant to this thread.

Bismillah.

"Overcoming Hardship, Mental Health Issues and Doubt."

youtu.be/LCN--XHMHLA

Shaykh Bilal Asad is experienced in counselling people going through depressive issues.

Not only that but he has been severley tested himself a few years ago he lost his Brother, and his Teenage son who was only 16 years old. In an accident. So this Shaykh knows what he is talking about on the topic of dealing with hardships.

The following is video about the Death of his Brother and Son. Very heart touching.

Shaykh had realised that he is born with taqdeer with trials...... things go against his intentions, he adopted the taqdeer ( I am happy with whatever is written in my taqdeer) and used it for others welfare.

Here in the story his wet blanket will not dry......

Hope it is clear for br @rajab

Bismillah.

We have many people who read and follow threads on this forum although they might not be members or post on here. So it is not just Rajab or myself who will have been confused by what you wrote.

Jazak'Allah Khayr for your input and clarification.

Yes indeed being content with what ALLAH has decreed (Taqdeer) and having complete trust in ALLAH. And having a strong belief that Whatever tests ALLAH is testing us with have some Khayr (good) in them, can help a person to deal with the challenges of life.

But the question is how does one reach that spiritual station? This is one of the purposes of creating this thread most of us are weak and we do not have level of Tawwakul.

In anycase being content with Taqdeer and what has been decreed by ALLAH is answered and explained in the following link by Shaykh Faraz Rabbani.

Bismillah.

I don’t want to post too many lectures at once but will add more in the future.

For sisters I recommend the following speakers.

Dr Haifaa Younis as well as being a medical Doctor she is also a Islamic Scholar. She is an elder and her motherly demeanour and heartfelt advice has made her very popular with young sisters.

Dr Rania Awaad she is a Psychiatrist, a professor and researcher at Stanford university. She has also studied the Islamic sciences and sacred knowledge in Syria and is an Ustadha.

Ustadha Dunia Shuhaib she is a student of Sacred Knowledge and Islamic psychology.

You will find their talks on YouTube just put the title “Depression and anxiety” and the name of one of the above speakers you will find a talk on the topic.

You can download their talks in mp3 on Muslim Central infact you can download talks most of the speakers mentioned on this thread on the Muslim Central.

Aside from that I would also recommend that you contact your Doctor if you are suffering from severe depression. Their could be a medical problem from nutritional deficiency, too some type of chemical imbalance in the brain. Or if you are under severe stress you might have trouble sleeping an anti-anxiety medication might help.

If you are in the U.K. you can ask your Doctor. to recommend you for counselling , Cognitive Behaviour Therapy called CBT for short is a form of talking therapy which is available on the NHS has proven to be particularly effective, for Depression and anxiety.

And ALLAH knows best.
