Bismillah.

Mufti Muhammed Ibn Adam Al Kawthari.

Recently did a five part interview on his journey. In seeking knowledge and beyond. Some very unique insights.

He is also the son Shaykh Mawlana Adam one of our most senior Ulemah in the U.K.

Since early childhood he has had the opportunity to meet some of the, great Ulemah from around the world, well known names and servants of the deen.

His journey started in Leicester, took him to Dar Ul Uloom Bury, to Dar Ul Uloom Karachi and finally to Syria.

I found this series quite interesting and watched all 5 parts in one evening.

Above is a good interview, and unique insights. About his personal journey.

If you do not want to listen to it that is your perogative. I dont know what you mean by actively promoting Shaykh Yasir Qadhi and Shaykh Omer Suleiman.

As for staying away from him all I can say is prior to this I can only recall ever listening to one talk of his found his style very boring. But I think he is a better writer then an orator and have enjoyed reading his travelogues about his journeys to various countries.

As for Celebrity wannabe. He has been around on the speaking events longer then many of those who came after him. And if he wanted to be a super celebrity then I presume all he would have needed to do is hire a specialist Social media marketing team. To help promote him and he would have changed his speaking style to be more dynamic and with loads of stories and anecdotes. But he has not done that.

In anycase we need to be just in our criticism.

Those two guys are what should be kept away from. I seen one or two of their videos. Even I could construct a better argument then either of those. One of them in particular comes across as an emotional 13 year old.

If they are the modern standard of Deobandi Scholarship then we are indeed in dire straits.

If it was a couple of youtube guys from the innercity who speak at speakers corner. One might give them the benefit doubt.

But all I can say the manners of these guys do not befit one who is a graduate of an institute of sacred learning.

: Edit: I have watched the video from Al Islam publications.
Mufti Muhammed Ibn Adam Al Kawthari, posted a comment mentioning all the Scholars. That he shared a platform with at a conference, including Sh Yasir Qadhi and Sh Omer Suleiman. And Said all the Scholars at this event despite their varying backgrounds and differences. Treated each other with Love and Respect. And the guys at Al Islam took issue with him using the words Love and Respect. Thats about it.
