السلام عليكم

as for 90:3 it is correct, the tajweed rule of Idghaam is being applied.

Umar123 wrote:
After nun sakina or tanween if waw comes, one does idgham bi ghunnah. The nun is partly silent and combined with waw to produce a nasal waw. Same rule for yay, meem and nun.

[quote="Arslan."]As explained beautifully by Bhai Umar, the rule of idghaam is being applied in 90:3. Learn more about idghaam with audio examples HERE

Here in 9:70 the rule of Idgham (bi ghunnah) or assimilation is applied.

نُوحٍ وَعَادٍ وَثَمُودَ is recited "noohiw wa adiw wa samood"

In my mushaf there's shaddah above the wow that's why it's easy to recite.

I want to ask: As there's no shaddah Here, how do you recognize that idgham should be done?

Respected brother Arslan, this example isn't mentioned in the link you gave.

Akramakumullahu bi-Ramadan.

Idghaam has nothing to do with the presence or absence of a shaddah. Whether the shaddah is there or not is just a preference of style. The Madani mushaf has no tashdeed on the letters, while the Indo-Pak version does. The rule for idghaam is explained in the link I gave. I've reproduced it below:
-------------------------------
1. If Noon Saakin or Tanween i.e Fathatain ً , Kasratain ٍ , or Dummatain ٌ is followed by any one of these letters ى ر م ل و ن then the situation of Idgham or assimilation occurs.

2. There are two types of Idghams

a. Idgham with Ghunnah اِدْغَامْ بِغُنَّة - Nasal Sound such as in the word mink, sink, link etc. The letters applicable in this scenario are ى و م ن

b. Idgham without Ghunnah اِدْغَامٌ نَاقِصٌ - No nasal sound. The letters applicable in this scenario are the ل and ر

-------------------------------

You just have to memorize this rule and apply it every time you recite Qur'an. Eventually it will come naturally.

Mine has it. Some symbols of my mushaf are like Indo-Pak and some are like Madani. Strange.
