The niqaab causes negative attention in the media and in society and therefore, wearing of the niqaab results in a lack of trust within the society and can sometimes alienate Muslim women and result in causing an even bigger fitnah. For this reason wearing the niqaab in Europe would be classifies as Makrooh Tahreeman according to those who are in authority to deliver fatwas in Europe.
