When we listen to this, we think we would also have done the same. But in reality do we have what it takes to do such a sacrifice, that without any hesitation like Abu Dahdahرضي الله عنه ? We are a generation who whines about bad network reception on our phones. We get worked up on smallest matters. Actually due to the easy availability of technology to everyone, Even middle class of today have luxuries which even Kings didn't have a few hundred years ago. What hundreds of servants do in palaces can be done with electricity and machines in small house. We are one spoilt ummah. So if I am in posession of the best real estate property of today, something like biggest mansion in palm Islands dubai, will I have the heart to give it for free without consulting my family without any hesitation whatsoever?

May Allah Ta'ala remove the hypocrisy in us and make us sincere like Abu Dahdahرضي الله عنه and his likes. ameen.
