First let me clarify my aqeeda. All sahaba RdA are aadil and mehfooz and any incident of sin etc that occured by them was just for teaching ummat. And I consider Gustakhe Sahaba RdA as KAFIR. Ulama may correct me if I am wrong.

Another thing that I want to make clear is that I am a Jahil. But alhamdulillah I have sound mind and understand the main point that mufti sb is trying to make. But as you either are not understanding the point due to any reason or you are not trying to take the point because of your deep love for present day professional amils. So I am just trying to make the point clear to you and nothing else.

Now coming to the point.
We have currently agreed upon the following:
1. This talk is about present day amils.
2. He is talking about professional amils.
3. They have lost their soundness of mind due to excessive chillas etc.

Now we have filtered the results. No Salaf, Just present day. + profession amils, i.e who have started shops of amaliyaat.
THIS WAS ALL WHICH YOU HAVE AGREED UPON.

Now making things more clear:

In URDU we call use the words NAIK, ALLAH WALAY interchangeably for people who say 5 time prayers, do zikr and abstain from sinning openly. That is what Allah Walay and NAIK means in URDU among Pakistanis. This type of sentences are common here "fulana bara naik hai 5 waqt namaz parhta hai etc." I hope that it is clear now.
In English we can use word pious for it. So I will use this word now.

As mufti sahb said that there are two possibilities :
1. Present day + Professional amil + Fraud
2. Present day + Professional amil + Pious

According to Mufti sahb both have lost their balance of mind due to chillas etc.

Regarding pious if you think that they can't lose their balance of mind, then it proves that you are not aware of things that are happening around. I have seen guy getting mad due to excessive zikr. Obviously only a pious person can do excessive zikr.

So the conclusion is that Mufti sahb didn't commit any gustakhi.

I can't make things more simple than this.
