I was recently listening to Imam Anwar al Awlaki's Mashari al Ashwaaq ila Masari al Ushaaq wa Mutheer al-Gharaam ila Daar as-Salaam, when I came across these wonderful narrations of true heroism and valour by the sahaba and the taabi'een.
