This is a big problem, they are scums and scums do not worry about stooping to scummier levels.

Not much can be done in places like karachi, the place is rife with such things on a daily bases

(I don't want to initiate discussion on this sensitive issue, so am posting here. Mods can move it to appropriate thread if necessary.)

Subhanallaah! Pakistani airstrikes are so precise that no civilian gets harmed! Their missiles can distinguish between Taliban fighters and civilians. Intelligent weaponry!

Pakistan fighter jets bomb 'Taliban hideouts'

At least 32 people dead, with reports of some civilian casualties, as army targets key commanders in North Waziristan.

Last updated: 21 May 2014

Pakistani fighter planes have bombed suspected 'Taliban hideouts' in the tribal region of North Waziristan, killing at least 32 people, military sources have said.

"Confirmed militant hideouts were targeted early morning today in North Waziristan through precise aerial strikes," a senior military official said on Wednesday.

"There are reports of 32 terrorists killed in strikes including some important commanders."

The official did not disclose names of the commanders killed in the strikes.

Al Jazeera's Asad Hashim, reporting from Islamabad, said local sources confirmed the strikes were carried out in Miranshah, the main town of North Waziristan, and the Mir Ali, Datta Khel and Ghulam Khan areas.

"Local sources say there have been reports of civilian casualties as well, but since there is a curfew, it is impossible to verify the numbers at this time," he said.

Local media said up to 50 people were killed in the attacks.

The aerial strikes come three days after the Pakistan Taliban chief Mullah Fazlullah released a video in which he vowed that his group's fight would continue until either the imposition of Islamic law across Pakistan, or the martyrdom of its fighters.

In the video released on Sunday, Fazlullah called upon his group's suicide bombers and fighters to prepare themselves to take on the army.

The latest attack comes weeks after the Pakistani Taliban formally ended a ceasefire called to promote talks with the government aimed at ending a seven-year insurgency. (Al Jazeera)

Absolutely pathetic!

3 years on and the police yet again turned up to arrest my brother inlaw.

Once again, no crime, no suspicion or anything.

This time round the police came to the house at sehri time, asked for him and took him away.

The parents asked what was going and why he was being taken away. The police simply said to discuss everything at the station.

On arrival to the police station, when asked, the police simply replied, "We went through old files and we saw that you didn't pay the full amount last time, so this time we you pay 50,000 rupees more.

When asked for a reason, the police simply said, "Someone's gotta pay our Eidy!"

Astagfirullah.

Once the payment was made, they asked the police if they'd be returning again in the future. This time the police said the file is now closed and finished, no more arrests will be made....

They continue to live in fear as that's how the poor are treated in a nation of Muslim's.
