Having no fans is 'political, rather than clinical'

The delay in allowing fans to return to stadiums in Scotland is "political, rather than clinical", say two of the country's top football administrators.

Scottish FA vice-president Mike Mulraney made the claim on BBC Radio Scotland - and was supported by SPFL chief executive Neil Doncaster.

Mulraney said it is "fair to ask the Scottish government to reconsider" its stance on playing in empty stadiums.

"I listen to the science and it does seem counter-intuitive," he said.

"I think it is driven by science, but do you think that sitting one metre away from somebody eating in a restaurant has less risk than sitting two metres away from someone in a stadium with a mask on?"

Instead of drinking bleach and using hydroxyquinone, he has got his hands on an experimental drug which is still in the trial stage. It seems like he actually does trust the scientists despite what he says.

It'll only get worse with the majority blindly fixated on the mainstream agenda:

www.miltonkeynes.co.uk/news/people/council-apologises-not...
Quote:
A son ordered to move away from his mum when he tried to hug her at his dad's funeral has received an apology from the council.

The son had not left his mum's side for two weeks before the funeral and was devastated he was not allowed to sit with her.

He said: “We are absolutely heartbroken...I can sit in a restaurant, I can sit in a pub, I can live at her house, I can travel in a limousine to the crematorium with six (people).

"But when I want to give my mum a cuddle at dad's funeral, a man flies out mid service shouting stop the service and makes us split.

"It scared my daughter and shocked everyone in the room. This is not how funerals should be and with the guidelines in place for pubs, bars, public transport etc, how this can carry on at funerals is beyond belief. It was a devastating day made even worse.”

Local Conservative group leader, Councillor Alex Walker, shared the video on social media and is now raising the issue with MK Council, which is responsible for Crownhill Crematorium.

COVID CAN BE AIRBORNE FOR HOURS AS IT IS NOW FOUND

Covid can be airborne, US CDC guidelines now say
By Michelle Roberts
Health editor, BBC News online
06 October 2020

Coronavirus can be spread by tiny particles suspended in the air, sometimes for hours, says the US Centres for Disease Control.

Its updated guidance says this airborne route of transmission is still uncommon - bigger droplets from coughs, sneezes and talking are still the main source.

People are at higher risk of catching it the longer and closer they are to someone who has the virus.

Poorly ventilated enclosed crowded spaces are are riskier than outdoors.

Last month, the CDC published - and then took down - a draft version of the guidance warning about possible airborne transmission, saying it had been posted in error.

At the time, the World Health Organization (WHO) said it knew of no new evidence to suggest this was how the virus was spreading, although it agreed that aerosol transmission was possible in some circumstances.

There are some examples where people with Covid have infected others who were more than 6ft or 2m away. Others have caught the virus in an air space that an infectious person was present in minutes or hours earlier.

The CDC says these are rare, and existing advice on protective behaviours - washing hands, wearing face coverings and social distancing - remains the same.

"People can protect themselves from the virus that causes Covid-19 by staying at least 6ft away from others, wearing a mask that covers their nose and mouth, washing their hands frequently, cleaning touched surfaces often and staying home when sick," says the CDC.

It says the general public do not need to take the added precautions that healthcare professionals do to protect against airborne transmission, such as wearing medical grade masks and other personal protective equipment .

Guidance from the UK government says clinicians carrying out tasks that could generate airborne droplets of saliva loaded with the virus should use the higher standard of protection, including disposable gowns, filtering respirators and face-shielding visors.

Report from Germany
Quote:
First of all the new lockdown law itself: It's incredibly dishonest. They wanted to ban gatherings inside of private homes, but can't because that's legally very well protected. So what instead they wrote into the new ruling that such gatherings are "inacceptable" (page 2, bottom). Inacceptable is apparently newspeak for "completely legal". By now most newspapers are mudding the waters with their reporting and a good part of Germans thinks it's actually illegal, which it is not. That's a genius but obscene strategy. Also all these things are done without consulting the parlament. No one cares about the constituion anymore.

Then there's the tests. We're doing a shitton of tests (one million per week) with about 200 different labs, every one of which does things differently and as they please - there is no standardization. There is no public data about the positive rate of the tests per lab or on the CT thresholds. Curiously whenever positive tests are repeated they turn out to be wrong. So it happened on the cruse ship "Mein Schiff 6" where all 12 of the 12 positive tests turned out to be wrong. Or in the Bundesliga, where a lot of money is involved and the teams retested all positive cases on their own to make sure. Turns out every single positive test from all three affected teams was wrong. Tests for the common citizen are (usually) not repeated. Although time and time again the lab results were proven to be laughably wrong: 96% wrong in Augsburg and there were a couple of other (oops 100% of tests were positive). None of these cases made any big headlines. No newspaper went out to randomly test labs or even doing some basic math on the public numbers. People who question the results or protest again government strategy are labelled right-wing nazis (as it is good tradition in Germany) and lose their jobs.

The reports about people dying are increasingly less detailed. There was a big ruckus about a huge outbreak in a city in the west of Germany making headlines. Lots were infected, and one person died. But that person got a MRSA infection in the hospital - still big headline about another young corona death. In smaller cities there's sometimes still more details to be found. 91 year olds, people with multiple cancers, literally people who have been in a car accident. Germany actually has less than average total death numbers this year. And that is despite the fact that people die from untreated heart and other issue, like my uncle who died recently because of that.

Like in every country, the flu also suddenly disappeared. The hospitals are as full as they usually are this time of year - obviously hospitals have to fill their ICUs because they bring in (and cost!) so much more money.

It's a completely normal year in every single measurable metric. The only thing different is the test and the panic it causes. We've now already condemned millions of babies to not be born and fathers throwing themselves in front of trains. The economy is not gonna recover from this for a long time and people are having trouble paying their rent. And Germany is still pumping out money to other Countries like there's no tomorrow.

OIC condemns cremation of COVID-19 infected Muslim remains in Sri Lanka

arab.news/2xynb

ARAB NEWS
November 06, 2020

JEDDAH: The Independent Permanent Human Rights Commission (IPHRC) of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) expressed its deep concerns on Thursday over multiple reports indicating that the Sri Lankan government is cremating all people who die in the COVID-19 pandemic. This effectively bans burials, a practice followed by many religious minorities, including Muslims.

The issue has been raised by many human rights organizations, and the UN Special Rapporteur on Freedom of Religion and Belief urged the government to respect burial rights of its Muslim minority.

HIGHLIGHT
The World Health Organization’s advice on governmental responses to the COVID-19 pandemic does not prescribe cremation as being in any way recommended. Hence, there is no reasonable justification to enforce cremation.

The World Health Organization’s advice on governmental responses to the COVID-19 pandemic does not prescribe cremation as being in any way recommended. Hence, there is no reasonable justification to enforce cremation as an obligatory measure.

Accordingly, IPHRC urges the Sri Lankan government to fulfill its human rights obligations by respecting the right of its Muslim minority to practice their religion free from any discrimination, including the uncompromised right to honor the dignity of their dead in line with their religious beliefs and obligations.

Chlorhexidine mouthwashes are the safest and frequently prescribed in modern practice but may cause minor issues like taste disturbances and discolouration of mucosa.

Alcohol containing mouthwashes cause your mouth to become dry (xerostomia) and may also cause mucosal reactions or mucositis. The long term use of alcohol containing mouthwashes can cause oral cancers and premalignant conditions, hence their long term use is discouraged. They are not usually prescribed nowadays.

Antimicrobial mouthwashes disturb ecological balance (normal flora) and sometimes MAY cause superinfections.

Steroid containing mouthwashes can cause fungal infections and therefore these are prescribed with antifungals.

Pakistan doesn't seem to be in a good state regarding the virus.

Schools are closed / closing until March 2021!

The new lockdown measures will hurt even more families.
