Do you really think they were not consulting scholars? Do you really think they established khilafah without consulting scholars? Do you think scholars only reside in India? Your arguments are ridiculous. Your mind is diseased. You have been living amongst the cow worshippers for too long.
Actually this is a sensitive issue and they must take ulema of whole ummah into confidence before doing anything. We are already in a very difficult position at every level. I don't watch the news (from the last couple of years) but whatever tension is going on between Saudi and Qatar and other nations can get worsened. And some one can take advantage of this action of the Saudi regime and it could end in further war, destruction and chaos. It may trigger and activate the Muslim ummah and the ummah may wake up from it's slumber but it could create another mess as well. The Saudi government must think 1000 times before taking any decision like this.
Please maintain respect for each other and Ulamaa (if topic is about a scholar) by avoiding accusations and slanderous comments. Also remember that in order for criticism to be constructive, it must be channeled in the right direction. If there is any doubt in a matter, it is better to ask, clarify or to remain silent rather than to speak ill of another person.
I'm not calling for destruction, removal, or relocation of the dome. All I'm saying is we should treat the dome like anything else. I.e. in the light of the quran and sunnah. But at the same time we should take into consideration the current situation of the ummah and act accordingly. The link I posted from islamqa adequately explains.
.think best thing be build a flat roof structure over the dome. That way dome isn't destroyed, prophet is not disturbed by hammering and dome is out of sight and nothing resembling a shrine remains. What bothers me is Muslims who are willing to spill blood to defend the dome but not to defend Muslims being butchered like sheep
The issue of the grave being inside the mosque has long been solved anyway.
If you keep track of the Makkah news thread, then you would've seen plans of the expansion of the mosque.
They were planning on building in front of the mosque making the grave in the middle of the mosque.
This plan was rejected by the Saudi imams.
Instead they opted to build behind the existing mosque.
Also, in the same thread, there is a post where the article says that the prayer area in the front of the masjid has been pulled back so the entire area in front of the sacred chamber is empty. Back to an older position.
They say that this is to keep the crowd flowing. But in reality its part of their idea to keep the chamber separated from the masjid. Which is a positive way forward.
At least we can all agree that the grave must not be touched! Alhumdulillah.
Maybe they can plan to remove/replace the dome with a gigantic white minaret.
They can easily satisfy the Ummah with the Hadith of Dajjal and him seeing the minaret from a distance.
Just build a huge minaret.
This minaret can become the symbol of Masjid e Nabawi and the images of the green dome will soon be replaced just like how all the old images of the Haram in Makkah has changed over the years.
The current white minaret will be dwarfed by the skyscrapers anyway.
So there we have it, a possible solution for the future and how to have peace amongst the Ummah :)
This cannot be undone and I am sure it will be greatly appreciated.
