I don't know it's approaching the anniversary or its just something people are discussing on social Media suddenly about Aafia Siddique I want to know will all of us including us who are in UK and have no power, influence or authority be questioned by Allah about her release? I'm only mentioning her as she is high profile but same applies to ALL Muslims held unjustly. I was going to post an article on her which sister Yvonne Ridley wrote but some of the details are very hard to read. Not only has she been tortured but also gang raped by American soldiers after the accurssed pakistan govt sold her out.
I can understand Allah questioning and punishing pakistan but what about me? It worries me as I don't have an answer. I do hope pakistan gets its punishment in my lifetime. I have no sympathy with them anytime a disasters hits them. They deserve far worse
May ALLAH bestow his mercy on our respected sister Dr Aafia Siddiqui, hasten her release, hold her oppressors to account, and grant her the Sabr of Asiya (Alayhi Salaam) in her captivity ameen.
I do remember a Scholar saying something about this its been many years and I am writing from memory :If you are powerless to change the situation for the person who is oppressed then the bare minimum you should do is make Dua consistently, for the oppressed individual or peoples....At the same time if ALLAH has instilled in our hearts feelings of pain and anguish when we see the suffering of others, then we should be grateful their are those who are fully immersed in the dunyah and dont have these feelings and dont care.
If we physically cant change the situation, then we should speak out, if we cant speak out, then we you should give sadaqah on behalf of the individual who is oppressed in this case Dr Aafia Siddiqui, for their are benefits in it, and if all we are capable of doing is making Dua we should do so consistently and not consider this insignificant. If we are not even capable of doing that then we should be worried about our condition.
Another question is will we be held to account for praying or wishing for calamities and natural disasters to strike the weak and the poor in places like Pakistan considering those overwhelmingly affected by floods and earthquake in that country are the poor and weak and powerless and have no political clout... many of them dont even know how they are going to feed their families from one day to the next...!
I dont know whether you make these kind of statements to garner attention or trolling or whatever its called or you are suffering from some Psychological problems... Whatever it is you need to reflect before you write.
This cannot be undone and I am sure it will be greatly appreciated.
