THE DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF MUHAMMAD SALLALLAHU ALAIHI WASALLAM

Click on Link to read full article

The United States boasts about democracy as being an invention which it has spread all over the free world, but according to facts of history, democracy is not an American invention.

It is thought that democracy was first practiced in Rome BC where the Caesar was elected by the members of the Senate. But this Roman experience could easily be detected as an incomplete democracy, as the senators themselves were representatives of aristocracy and social elites who did not voice the common Romans as much as they voiced their own caste.

No matter how short lasting and incomplete the Roman experience might have been, it was highly priced for being a privilege to all humanity and a step forward towards more mature ones.

The first true democracy which addressed the public at large, specially in sensitive issues like electing the ruler, was recorded immediately after the death of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).

I have skimmed through the article. However, my question.

If the author is ready to call it "democracy" then I would like to ask that did Ahlur Rae chose Sayyidina Abu Bakr RA or every single sahabi ra at that time chose Sayyidina Abu Bakr RA. Did any clan members had any choice to go against the wish of their Cheiftans who chose Abu Bakr RA or did they had to submit to the will of their leader in this case? Was the Caliph bound to submit to the will of the majority of his parliament (The Shura) or did he have the ability to decide according to best of his judgement even if his decision would go against the advice of shura members?

If you call it democracy then please answer these questions.

I have read the comments of the article. However, I think that calling the system of caliphate a democracy is an apologetic approach to the west and kuffar. We don't have to prove that we have true democratic roots. We don't need democracy. This is a system which is a necessity for those who don't have Divine guidance to solve their problems and they needed a mechanism to decide their decisions and solve their problems which it has failed miserably to do so anyway. We don't need such a mechanism. We have absolute truth in our hands. All we need is iman on it.

If the writer means the present day democracy, then NO,Islam is NOT democratic.

Quran advised “Shura” not democracy.

The rightly guided khulufa did not even stick to one single method of choosing an AMEER...

Syedena Abubakr radiallah anhu was chosen as an obvious choice,he in turn NOMINATED Syedena Umar radiallaho anhu, who in turn formed a panel of senior sahaba to choose one out of them (his own son being a member but EXCLUDED from being selected)...

After Syedena Usman radiallaho anhu, there was chaos, and the rest is history...

Then, there was this concept of ‘representative city’ of Madina Munawarra على صاحبه الصلوات والسلام...

If one wants to compare Islamic system with any other system, that would be ONE PARTY SYSTEM,where one becomes a member by becoming a Muslim and after that his stature is determined by his services to the cause rather than anything else, that is he keeps going up the ladder by remaining steadfast through thick and thin, and ultimately ‘may’ become Amir if other senior members considers him eligible.

But that is only one aspect of political system in Islam. This subject is worth many books, rather a whole library...

The social justice in Islam being part of Din is naturally an integral part of its political system as well. In fact Din and politics are inseparable from each other in Islam...

As against democracy,Islam believes that sovereignty belongs only to Allah, and that the word of Allah is final in making any laws. Islam does not consider ‘people’ or their ‘representatives’ as sovereign.A shura in Islam can NEVER declare gay marriages legal, it simply has no authority to do so....

How can Islam be called Democratic ?

السلام عليكم و رحمة الله و بركاته

There is NO democracy anywhere in this world. There is only the ILLUSION of democracy. It's as simple as that. There is no need to go into any details.

Also, there is no democracy in Islam either. Alhamdulillah there is no democracy in Islam. Democracy is a man made system. The system of Allah is khilafat under a just and Allah fearing Ameer.

In today's world, whatever may be the form of government, if justice is delivered, oppressors are held with collar, the workers get their proper wages, the wealthy take care of the weak.............. OK

When people visited China, they hated Islam, but had high regards for Sahabah, respected their graves. They were asked they are ours, they said, NO, they are ours. They had quality of removing humans from slavery of humans, share their wealth, installed wells, shelters, gave charity etc.

If dreaming of islamic government is for giving priority for implementing hadd, amputating hands, beheading, whipping etc. They won't get power. Their priority is not right.
They tasted power, but due to wrong priority, they failed.
Things are different now.

First priority of prophet (saw) was not hadd, but to create a conducive environment so that religious atmosphere can be created with harmony.

Mawlana Yasin said "Please note that only links to that website is banned. A good article is always welcome."

So I'm putting this here to clarify wrong idea in this thread:

Far from envisaging any contribution to democracy, Islam denounces democracy as kufrocracy. Democracy is the rule of morons – morons vote for morons and scoundrels. It is baboonocracy. Islam came to abolish all systems of kufr. Thus Allah Ta’ala states:

“Those who do not govern according to (that Shariah) revealed by Allah, they are indeed the kaafiroon.” (Al-Maaidah, 44)

“Those who do not govern according to (that Shariah) revealed by Allah, they are indeed the zaalimoon.” (Al-Maaidah, 45)

“Those who do not govern according to (that Shariah) revealed by Allah, they are indeed the faasiqoon.” (Al-Maaidah, 47)

The Qur’aan paints them as unbelievers, oppressors and flagrantly immoral. All of these satanic attributes are conspicuously displayed by the ruling cliques of all democracies.

The only system of government recognized by Islam and commanded by Allah Azza Wa Jal is the authoritarian, one-man autocracy known as the Khilaafat. All other systems are satanic and haraam.

The divine system of Khilaafat was practically demonstrated and implemented par excellence during the era of the Khulafa-e-Raashideen of Hadhrat Abu Bakr, Hadhrat Umar, Hadhrat Uthmaan and Hadhrat Ali (Radhiyallahu anhum). They ruled by the Law of Allah Azza Wa Jal.

There is no better, no superior, no more just system of government than the system of Allah Azza Wa Jal. In this regard, the Qur’aan Majeed states:

“What do they search for the law of jaahiliyyah (ignorance)? Whose Law is better than the (Law of) Allah, for people who have firm faith (in Allah)?” (Al-Maaidah, Aayat 50)

As for autocracy, the Qur’aan Majeed informs us that it is a divine institution. Allah Ta’ala had created the monarchy system. The Qur’aan says:

“And, he (the Nabi) said to them: ‘Verily, Allah has sent to you Taalut as king.” (Al-Baqarah, Aayat 247)

“And (remember) when Musaa said to his people: ‘O my people! Remember the bounty of Allah on you when He made from among you Ambiya, and He made you kings.” (Al-Maaidah, Aayat 20)

Both Nubuwwat and Monarchy are described as divine bounties.

Throughout the history of mankind, the monarchial institution was upheld by all the Ambiya. It is an institution created and ordered by Allah Ta’ala while democracy is a satanic institution. It is the reign of donkeys and baboons.

It should be well understood, that even a king who ascends the throne by hereditary succession will be a legitimate Khalifah if he rules according to the Shariah. Thus, monarchy is not nugatory of Khilaafat. Besides the Khulafa-e-Raashideen, all Khilaafats were monarchies.

We are not the ummatis of the previous prophets. We are ummatis of Prophet Muhammad SAWS.

We have to see the conduct of Prophet SAWS and his Sahaba RA instead of inventing ideas out of our own imagination.

If monarchy was OK in Shariat e Muhammadia then why did Umar RA reject the mashwara of some people who said that Abdullah ibn Umar RA should be made his heir? Why didn't Uthman RA choose his son as his heir? Why didn't Ali RA choose his heir?

There were only six khilafas in the whole Islamic history. The four Rashidon Caliph. A brief period of Sayyidina Hassan RA's rule. And the rule of Sayyidina Umar bin Abdul Aziz RH who was appointed due to the advice of a scholar. Anything other than that was monarchy. Yes there were good monarchs and bad monarchs but still they were monarchs and not Khulafa.

This is the result of westernized thinking that some people think that khilafa is only about hadd. The problem is not with those who want khilafah but the problem is with those who have the wrong conception of khilafah. Why do some people always bring the issue of hadd whenever khilafah is talked about?

Secondly Hadd is there to create a pious environment for goodness to flourish and evil deeds to be discouraged. And yes social welfare program, justice and great educational initiative being the part of Khilafah Government's agenda cannot be denied or given less importance.

So whenver, khilafah is talked about, it is not ISIS which is being discussed but full packaged Khilafah similar to the Khilafa system of Khulafa e Rashidoon.

Democracy as exists today does not respect the Sovereignty of Allah. Muslims should not run after it. Righteous Amirate cannot be compared to a system that gives the worst and the best an equal say.

To say that there were only six khilafas in the whole Islamic history is pretty controversial and is like that narrative that deconstructs traditional Islam and supports the new world order and its ideology. There is a difference between rightly guided Caliphs and dynastic Caliphs but Muslims throughout the ages recognized the dynastic Caliphs and Sunnis across the world used to pray for them right up until the destruction of the Ottomans by the Secularist Freemason West.

How was deen dented in Islamic countries?

In the name of offering quality education to princes, they were called to western countries, there, they were brainwashed towards hatred towards deen and later, capitalism and western culture etc were induced into their lives. When these princes took over they implemented what they were taught.

Long back Shaykh Ali Mian Nadvi RA had told this in a positive way. "Hukumath mein deen pahuchane ka raasta". He said, either you send pious rulers to office or bring piety into lives of present rulers in office.

The second choice is feasible. Try it. This experiment has worked and gave fruitful results.

Read "Karwan-e-zindagi" by Shaykh Ali Mian Nadvi RA. "Iqtedaar tak deen pahunchane ka raasta"

Near summary of the quote:
There are two ways of bring deen in governance. Send pious to chair of governance. or bring piety in people on chair/throne of governance. In the first option, present authorities in governance will resist to leave chair/throne, rather than leaving the chair they shall demolish the seat; that can lead to chaos.
The second option is time consuming but can be executable and normally we don't have any other choice.
Hazrath Mujaddad Alf Thani RA tahreek/ movement was also on the same path, that, let power be with the people in power, our intention is to correct and bring piety in people in power.
