Assalam alaikum,
The first person who spoke mystically in Islam was Sayyadi Abu BakrSiddiq, may Allah be pleased with him. That was when he abandoned all his possessions [in contributions to Khaybar War efforts], and the Noble Prophet, Sallallahu alaihi Wasallam, asked him what he left behind for his family, he replied, "ALLAH AND HIS APOSTLE".

This is a sublime allegory for Unitarians. It is this same firm belief in Tawheed that Abu Bakr Siddiq displayed in his speech to the People after the Prophet's death. Elsewhere, indicating his lofty knowledge, Abu Bakr Saddiq, may Allah be pleased with him, was quoted saying "GLORY BE TO HIM [Allah] WHO HAS GIVEN HIS CREATURES ACCESS TO THE KNOWLEDGE OF HIMSELF ONLY THROUGH THEIR INABILTY (ajz) TO KNOW HIM."

do you have a source for that (the part in red, bold, and underlined) or did you just make it up?

Assalam alaikum,
I refer to the 'Wise Member's' remarks above, further to which I wish to say that I stand firmly on all I wrote in the above post. You or any learned reader may see:- Sayyadi Abdullah Ibn Ali al-Sarraj's book titled: "KITAB AL-LUMA" or/and Sayyadi al-Qushayri's book: "EPISTLE OF SUFISM", and other such books.

Where the 'Wise Member' chooses to assume that I made 'things' up, I can only say that on this and other posts I sent/published on this Forum, I take full responsibility for/on them... NOT to him, but to HIM for whom we are here.

Many Regards.

please post a link/scan/copy paste or type out the relevant section in your own words from the sources you provided which prove that hazrat abu bakr (rd) 'spoke mystically' in that incident.

I'm pretty sure he "asked" and not "assumed" - which you didn't answer and took offence instead. There's nothing wrong with his question and it's an interesting term "spoke mystically" which I would also like to know how that originated and what it refers to exactly. All in the pursuit of knowledge.

Also, "Wise Member" is a post count rank (depending on number of posts) - it's not something he chose himself. Jzk
