The Essence of Deen by Dr.Israr Ahmed Rh (Rough Translation)
The essence of deen is Divine Love. However, when the ummah got immersed in useless theological and philosophical debates, the true essence of deen was lost. Maulana Rumi Rh appeared as a Mujaddid (revivalist) at that time and rekindled love of Allah in the barren hearts.
Narrated Jabir ibn Atik :
The Prophet (ﷺ) said: There is jealousy which Allah loves and jealousy which Allah hates. That which Allah loves is jealousy regarding a matter of doubt, and that which Allah hates is jealousy regarding something which is not doubtful. There is pride which Allah hates and pride which Allah loves. That which Allah loves is a man's pride when fighting and when giving sadaqah and that which Allah hates is pride shown by oppression. The narrator Musa said: "by boasting." Hasan (Al-Albani)
Narrated A'isha reported :
Hind. the daughter of 'Utba, wife of Abu Sufyan, came to Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) and said: Abu Sufyan is a miserly person. He does not give adequate maintenance for me and my children, but (I am constrained) to take from his wealth (some part of it) without his knowledge. Is there any sin for me? Thereupon Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said: Take from his property what is customary which may suffice you and your children.
Narrated Talq ibn Ali al-Yamami :
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: Eat and drink; let not the white and ascending light prevent you from (eating and drinking); so eat and drink until the red light spreads horizontally. Hasan Sahih (Al-Albani)
This cannot be undone and I am sure it will be greatly appreciated.
