This post has been reported. It could be due to breaking rules or something as simple as bad use of bbcodes which breaks the page format. We will attend to this soon.

But at the very beginning, let me post one of the most important Ahaadeeth we always have to keep in mind:

Ameer-ul-Mu'mineen, Hadhrat `Umar ibn al-Khattaab رضي الله عنه narrates, "I heard Rasoolullaah صلى الله عليه وسلم saying, "Deeds are only according to their intentions, and for every man will be that which he intended. Whosoever performed Hijrah for Allaah and His Rasool, then his Hijrah was for Allaah and His Rasool, and whosoever performed Hijrah for the sake of the Dunyaa - to attain it - or for a woman, to marry her, then his Hijrah was for that which he made Hijrah for." [Narrated in Saheeh al-Bukhaari and Saheeh Muslim.]

This is what we all have to keep in mind always, myself first and foremost. No matter what a person does and no matter how much good he does, if it is for the wrong reasons, it will not be accepted by Allaah Ta`aalaa. A person can fast every second day of his life, perform 500 Rak`ats of Nafl Salaah a day, make a Khatm of the Qur'aan everyday, make 50,000x Duroods a day, go on Hajj every single year, fight in Jihaad his entire life and get killed on the battlefield, but if he did all of this for the sake of Riyaa (name and fame), then nothing of it will be accepted from him, wal-`Iyaadhu Billaah.

Whatever we do must be done Only for the sake of Allaah Ta`aalaa. Seek the Pleasure of Allaah Ta`aalaa, not the pleasure of people. If you do deeds to be seen by man, to be heard by man, to be known by man, to be loved by man, then people may put you on a little pedestal in this Dunyaa, but you will be exposed and disgraced in the Aakhirah.

All of us, myself first and foremost, must ensure that whatever of goodness we do, we are doing for the sake of Allaah Ta`aalaa Alone.

Hadhrat Miqdaam ibn Ma`deekarib رضي الله عنه narrates, "Rasoolullaah صلى الله عليه وسلم said, "A Shaheed receives six virtues: He is forgiven in the very first moment (i.e. before the first drop of his blood touches the ground, the very moment he becomes Shaheed); he is shown his abode in Jannah; he is saved from the punishment of the Qabr (grave); he is protected from al-Faza` al-Akbar (the Great Fear on the Day of Qiyaamah); a crown of honour is placed on his head, one gem from which is better than the Dunyaa and everything in it; he is married to 72 wives from the Hoor-ul-`Een (Maidens of Jannah), and he is given permission to intercede on behalf of 70 of his close family members." [Narrated in the Musnad of Imaam Ahmad, in Sunan at-Tirmidhee and in Sunan an-Nasaa'i.]

"Allaah has undertaken to look after the one who goes out in His Path, and (Allaah says that) nothing takes him (the Mujaahid) out (in the Path of Allaah) except Jihaad in My Path, Imaan in Me and affirmation of My Rusul, then it is a guarantee upon Me that I will enter him into Jannah or I will return him to his home which he had come out from, having gained what he has gained from the reward (of Jihaad) and the spoils of war. By the One in Whose Hand is the life of Muhammad! No (Mujaahid) gets injured in the Path of Allaah except that he will come with it on the Day of Qiyaamah in the same condition as when it was first inflicted; its colour is the colour of blood and its fragrance is the fragrance of musk. By the One in Whose Hand is the life of Muhammad! If it were not that it would be difficult upon the Muslimeen, I would not sit back from a single Sariyyah (Jihaad expedition) that goes out fee Sabeelillaah, ever! However, I do not have the resources to take them with, nor do they have the resources (to be able to afford riding beasts, etc). And it would be difficult upon them to stay behind (while I go out). By the One in Whose Hand is the life of Muhammad! I would love to fight fee Sabeelillaah and be killed, then (be brought back to life) and fight fee Sabeelillaah and be killed, then (be brought back to life and) fight fee Sabeelillaah and be killed." [Narrated in Saheeh Muslim.]

Nu`aym ibn Hammaar narrates that a man asked Nabi صلى الله عليه وسلم, "Which of the Shuhadaa is the best?" He said, "Those who, when they take up their position in the Saff (i.e. in the Jihaad), they do not turn their faces (i.e. they do not turn away from Jihaad or flee from the battlefield) until they are killed. They will dwell in the highest stages of Jannah, and your Rabb will laugh at them. And when your Rabb laughs at a slave of His in this Dunyaa, then there is no Hisaab (reckoning) upon him." [Narrated by Imaam Ahmad.]

What this Hadeeth means is that, when the Mujaahid gives his life fee Sabeelillaah, willingly, Allaah Ta`aalaa laughs at him (because Allaah Ta`aalaa is pleased with this action of his), and when Allaah Ta`aalaa laughs at a slave of His in this Dunyaa, then there is no questioning in the Aakhirah for that person. There is no punishment for him. There are no difficulties for him. There is only the Pleasure of Allaah Ta`aalaa and Jannah. There is no questioning in a Qabr either. That is why they are the best of people. The greatest Shuhadaa.

May Allaah Ta`aalaa make me from among them,

Hadhrat Sahl ibn Hunaif narrates that Rasoolullaah صلى الله عليه وسلم said, "Whosoever asks Allaah for Shahaadah (Martyrdom) with Sidq (truthfulness), Allaah will elevate him to the ranks of the Shuhadaa even if he died on his bed." [Narrated by Imaam Ahmad, Imaam Muslim, Imaam Abu Daawud, Imaam at-Tirmidhee, Imaam an-Nasaa'i and Imaam ibn Maajah.]

Hadhrat Abu Hurayrah رضي الله عنه narrates that Rasoolullaah صلى الله عليه وسلم said, "The Shaheed does not feel any pain from being killed except as one of you feels from "Mass al-Qarsah" (the bite of an ant, or a pinch)." [Narrated by Imaam Ahmad, Imaam at-Tirmidhee, Imaam an-Nasaa'i, Imaam ibn Maajah, Imaam ad-Daarimi, Imaam ibn Hibaan and Imaam al-Bayhaqi.]

We know from many narrations that when a normal person (not a Shaheed) is dying, they go through a lot of difficulty because the Sakaraat-ul-Mawt (pangs of death) are severe. However, look at the Rahmah of Allaah Ta`aalaa; the Shaheed doesn't really experience any pain at all. "Mass al-Qarsah" is like just a light pinch. You barely feel it. That's the only pain the Shaheed experiences when he is killed. People look at the killing of a Shaheed and they think that he must be suffering: not at all! In fact, it is the normal people who suffer! Not a Shaheed! The Shaheed is the one who doesn't go through any suffering whatsoever. And the normal person still has to answer in the Qabr after that and on the Day of Qiyaamah, whereas a Shaheed does not get questioned. No questioning in a Qabr and no being questioned on the Day of Qiyaamah.

Abu Bakr ibn `Abdillaah ibn Qays narrates from his father, who said: "I heard my father saying (on the battlefield), while he was in the vicinity of the enemy: "Rasoolullaah صلى الله عليه وسلم said: "Indeed, the Doors of Jannah are under the shadows of the swords." A man with a disheveled appearance stood up and asked, "O Abu Moosaa, you heard this from Rasoolullaah صلى الله عليه وسلم?" He said, "Yes." He (the narrator) said, "So the man went to his people and said, "I give Salaam to you." Thereafter, he broke the sheath of his sword, threw it to the ground and walked with his sword (into the enemy lines), hitting with it until he was killed." [Narrated by Imaam Ahmad, Imaam Muslim, Imaam at-Tirmidhee and Imaam ibn Hibbaan.]

Hadhrat Sa`eed ibn Zayd رضي الله عنه narrates that Rasoolullaah صلى الله عليه وسلم said, "Whoever is killed defending his wealth is a Shaheed. Whoever is killed defending his family is a Shaheed. Whoever is killed defending his Deen is a Shaheed. Whoever is killed defending his blood (i.e. his life) is a Shaheed." [Narrated by Imaam Ahmad, Imaam Abu Daawud, Imaam an-Nasaa'i, and Imaam at-Tirmidhee, and he (Imaam at-Tirmidhee) said, "It is a Hadeeth which is Hasan Saheeh."]

Masrooq said: "We asked `Abdullaah about this Aayah: "And do not even think about those who are killed fee Sabeelillaah as being dead! Rather, they are alive, receiving sustenance from their Rabb." He said: "We asked (Rasoolullaah صلى الله عليه وسلم) about this, so he said: "Their Arwaah (Souls) are in the stomachs of Green Birds. They have lamps attached to the `Arsh (of Allaah). They (the Shuhadaa) go around in Jannah wherever they want, and thereafter they return to those lamps (by the `Arsh of Allaah). Their Rabb asks them, "Do you want anything?" They say, "What is there that we could want, when we are free to go about in Jannah as we want, wherever we want?" Allaah asks them three times, and when they see that they will not avoid being asked, they say, "Yaa Rabb! We want You to return our Arwaah (Souls) to our bodies so that we can be killed in Your Path a second time." When Allaah sees that they have no Haajah (need), they will be left." [Narrated by Imaam Muslim, Imaam ibn Maajah, Imaam at-Tabraani and Imaam at-Tirmidhee, and he (Imaam at-Tirmidhee) said: "This Hadeeth is Hasan Saheeh."]

Good to read authentic narrations. You'll find that they have already been posted and are repeated here again. Nevertheless, Just hope you don't spoil it by trying to incite/invite anyone to extremist ideas :)

Inspiration is one thing and to ignite is another! We are here to be inspired by authentic narrations not to be ignited, I'm sure you know what I mean.

Did you see any inviting being done, akhi? Ahaadeeth were posted, that's all. No inviting is being done.

I don't know why the first post in this thread has been reported and deleted. What was wrong in it?

Jazakallah, I'm just being cautious....if anything,The admins can reanble the post if they see fit.

Part of what you wrote in the second paragraph of the OP, "We need to re-ignite the spirit....." can be taken out of context by those who whish to cause us harm, otherwise who can deny the authentic Hadith and virtues of the Shuhadaa.

Another reason for caution was seen here previously www.muftisays.com/forums/14-peoples-say/9653-nidaaulhaqq-...
