My readings on religion span the Quran, the bible, both OT and NT, the gospel of Barnabas, the dead sea scrolls, the shepherd of Hermes, that's just to name a few. The shepherd of Hermes was a very unique read.

As a person who has gone so deep into religions and felt their common origins, this poem is dedicated to the lord of the heavenly religions.

To you o Lord who touched my life,
and took me from night to day.
Like a blinded man from dark to light,
wisdom enfolded in the light of day.

The heavens and earth you did create,
for a man so foul and cruel
for a man who worshipped stone and sun,
for a man who worshipped moon,
for a man who did not leave a sin,
who foolishly thought that he would win,
who killed both brother and killed the kin,
he was only a fool.

Yet with love and passion you returned,
with prophets from you to guide.
With the utmost wisdom in words so true,
for that I'm devoted to none but you,
you freed my mind.

Above your wisdom none can find,
this life to me not dear.
To your commands I do abide,
as long as you're by my side,
I have nothing to fear.
