I feared what he would think of me,

how bad for my job the consequences would be.

I would possibly lose a profitable deal

I remembered not my Lord, what He would think of me

how much I love this temporary world, He can always see.

He has repeatedly assured to all of us

He provides, why do we worry and fuss?

Why do we fear that so much we will lose

when to obey His command we do choose.

At the end of the meeting I lost the deal

realising my mistake, the pain I now feel.

I will never displease my Lord to please others

In the end it is my own soul that then suffers.
