"The heart is the king of the body. The other the parts of body are the dependents of the heart. Yet, we ignore the needs of the king, and exert all our effort on nurturing the dependents.
As soon as we awake we take a bath, brush our teeth and have breakfast. We do this to ensure that our body remains healthy. However, we do not give our heart the breakfast of Fajr or the nourishment of zikr and recitation of the Qur'aan that it needs.
Remember, one's heart is the centre of one's life. Thus we should exert every effort and sacrifice our wealth and desires to purify our heart (and grant it health)."
