"My father, whom i love, whom is so close,
even when far. Day's pass and nights,
smiles of love rising from you,
shining, echoing and beautifying the family.

My father, helping others is your joy,
every step you take in supporting others,
may He replace a step for you, in the realm
of His love, and increase for you more.

My father, care and support you provide,
so many of us drink from your blessed hands,
never do you complain or show anger,
who can replace thee.

My father, at times i did hurt you,
neglecting your call, your request,
your forgivness and supplication
do i seek, deprieve me not of that.

My father, songs of praise matching your status
i would sing, volumes of gratitude i shall scribe,
yet your acceptance comes without anything,
your assistance, advice, direction continues
to engrave in our hearts and lifes.

My father, with a boastful heart i did stand,
apparent strength i did show to the world,
whilst you were the route of my joy,
the fragrance of whom i am and were i stand.

My father, love is divided, love is vast,
within this small heart holds my love for thee.
Writing will never suffice your companionship,
nor can i match your care and glowing love.

My father, your words should be in gold,
engraved upon every mountain,
for as travellers we seek direction,
the wisdom of your knowledge should
be present for all to see.

My father, my teacher, my guide,
life may change with new beginnings
and situations that play within this test.
But my heart will always testify to you,
and your guidance shall be my first steps
and my last."

dedicated to my father, may Allah reward him greatly, ameen. I wrotethis above based on the inspiration on the way my father looks afterme. One night he came home late and he was just about to sit and havehis dinner, he comes to our room, we are asleep as it was late, andsays do you want to eat.

This action of his really touched me, this man, this father, how special he is, a small action that our fathers, parents do for us,but do we really think about it, when they have departed then we willremember, but when our parents are alive we never show thanks oranything. May Allah give my father the highest of jannahs, ameen.
