Sample of QASIDA HUSNA

A poem and dua of over 500 blessed names of Rasulullah sallallahi alayhi wasallam enumerating his perfections and praise

قَصِيْدَةُ الْـحُسْنٰى في أَسْمَاءِ النَّبِىِّ الْعُظْمٰىى
للشيخ محـــمد موسٰى البازي رحمه الله تعالى

حَمِدْتُ اللهَ رَبَّ الْعَـــالَمِيْـنَـــا
عَلَى النَّعْمَاءِ حَمْدَ الْـمُخْلِصِيْنًـــا

I praise Allah the Sustainer of the universe
Like the praises of the righteous servants for the favours that are bestowed (upon us)

اُصَلِّىْ بَعْدَ حَـمْدِ اللهِ تَتْرٰى
عَلَى الْهَـــادِىْ نَبِىِّ الْـمُرْسَلِيْنًـــا

After the Hamd (praise) of Allah I offer perpetual salutations upon Al- Haadi
(The Guide), The Prophet of all the Prophets


فَيَا رَبِّ احْمِنِىْ مِنْ شَرِّ نَفْسِىْ
وَشَيْطَانٍ وَ مَنْ كَانُوْا خُؤوْنًـــا

So O my Sustainer grant me protection against the evil of my nafs, shaytan and against the betrayers


وَمِـــنْ مَرَضٍ وَعَــافَــاتٍ وَ غَـــمٍّ
وَمِنْ فِــتَنٍ دَهَــتْ جِــسْمًـا وَدِيْنًـــا

And save me from sickness, calamities , anxieties and also against all such trials that can possibly weaken the body and Deen.


بـِجَـــاهِ الْـمُصْطَفَى الْاَسْنٰى مَقَامًـــا
حَبِــيْبِىْ رَحْـــمَةٍ لِلْعَـــالَـمِيْنَــا

O Allah accept my supplicaton through the waseela/medition of al Mustafa-the Chosen one , who enjoys the lofty rank, my Beloved who is a Mercy -Rahmah for the worlds


مُحَمَّدِ نِ النـــَقِىِّ الْــقَــلْبِ حَــيًـــا
وَمَيْتًـــا فَهْوَ اَزْكَى الطَّـــاهِرِيْنَـــا

Muhammad who is -an-Naqiyy - Clean Hearted in his life and on his demise. He is Azkaa -The Most pure from the pure souls

هُوَ الْـمُدَّثِّرُ الْـمَذْكِىُّ خُلْقًـــا
هُُوَ الْـمُزَّمِّلُ الْـمُقْرِىْ سِنِيْــنَـــا

He is al-Muddatthir- Covered in a blanket. Al-Mazkiyy-The Finest in character. He is al-Muzammil -Covered in a garment, al-Muqri-who Taught the Quran and Deen for many years

رَفِيْـــقٌ مِنَّـــةُ اللهِ حَـــرِيْصٌ
عَلَيْكُمْ اَيُّهًا الْـمُسْتَسْلِـمُوْنًـــا

He is Rafeeq-The Friend of Allah, Minnatullah- The Bounty of Allah . Harees- He is desirous of your success O Believers

فَصِـــيْحٌ دَهْتَـــمٌ وَرِعٌ عَفِيْفٌ
وَسَـــيِّدُ وُلْــدِ آدَمَ اَجْـــمَعِيْنَـــا

He is Faseeh-Eloquent, Dahtam-Soft natured, Wari'i - Abstinent. Afeef -Unblemished and Sayyid- Leader of the progeny of Adam A.S
