Asslamo Allaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuh,
Background:
Our Brothers want to have a discussion about the truth but it is roughly the 10th thread they have started where they block you from replying or having any meaningful discussions. There is every chance that as a human we make mistakes and we have been asking for months to have a discussion so that our errors can be made clear and manifest. All, we get is:
- Abuse, slander, accusations OR
- Blocked threads which we cannot reply to
This is the same (arrogant) strategy of our Brothers which has brought shame to the methodology of Ulama of Deoband; our Brother (SeekerofGuidance) decided to go on to IslamicAwakening forum and tried the same tactic of saying what comes in his mind and refusing to engage in a discussion. This thread is open for all to respond to as they see fit as long as no insults, slanders and accusations are thrown around. Please go ahead and you are requested to show us the error of our ways as we are human and liable to error.
Words & Speech of a Muslim:
Allah (SWT) has commanded us (believers) to be straightforward and unambiguous in our speech. It is the noble Sunnah of our Nabi (Sallallaho Alaihe Wassallam) to be speak in a manner which can be understood without ambiguity.
[33:70] O you who believe, fear Allah, and speak in straightforward words.
Shaykh (Maulana) Ashraf Ali Thanwi (RA) [1863-1943] on truthful straight talking!
Shaykh (RA) responds on page 257 that someone says that it’s easier to respond to the questions of Mukneer & Nakeer (Angels in the grave) then to respond to my questions and I say that this is (probably) correct because in the grave there will be straight, truthful to point discussion while here (with me) you want to play games and “spin the conversation” so responding here becomes difficult.
Softness towards other Muslims (and Ulama despite your disagreement):
The general characteristic and the outstanding moral quality of the Sahaba of Nabi (Sallallaho Alaihe Wassallam) was the fact that they were soft towards the believers.
[48:29] Muhammad is the messenger of Allah, and those who are with him are hard on the disbelievers, compassionate among themselves; you will see them bowing down in Ruku=, prostrating themselves in Sajdah, seeking grace from Allah, and (His) good pleasure; their distinguishing feature is on their faces from the effect of Sajdah (prostration). This is their description in Torah; and their description in Injil is: like a sown crop that brings forth its shoot, then makes it strong, then it grows thick and stands straight on its stem, looking good to the farmers, so that He may enrage the disbelievers through them. Allah has promised forgiveness and a huge reward to those of them who believe and do good deeds.
Allah (SWT) even advises Nabi Musa (AS) to be lenient and soft with the most corrupt disobedient Fir’aun of his time as follows:
[20:44] So speak to him in soft words. May be, he accepts the advice or fears (Allah).
This is a commandment to the worst of humanity (i.e. Fir’uan) take a look at the character of our Ulama in dealing with our adversaries:
Shaykh (Maulana) Ashraf Ali Thanwi (RA) [1863-1943] respecting Ulama
Shaykh Ashraf Ali Thanwi (rahimahullah) and Shaykh Ahmad Raza Khan Barelwi (rahimahullah) by Shaykh Muhammad Tayyib al-Qasimi (RA)
I have witnessed the fact that Shaykh Ashraf Ali Thanwi (rahimahullah) differed on numerous subjects from Shaykh Amad Raza Khan Barelwi (rahimahullah). Their differences covered the topics of Qiyaam, Urs, Meelad etc. But in spite of this, whenever his name happened to be mentioned in a Majlis (gathering), he used to say, "Moulana Ahmad Raza Khan Sahib."
On one occasion an individual sitting in the Majlis mentioned his name without adding the title Moulana to his name saying, "Ahmad Raza Khan." Shaykh Thanwi (rahimahullah) became angry and scolded him saying, "He is an Alim after all in spite of the fact that there are differences of opinion between us, you are disrespecting the position he has been granted. How can this be correct? Differences of opinion is another matter altogether. It is a seperate issue that he considers me to be upon error pertaining to certain issues. What is the meaning of such condescension, such disrespect for him?"
Shaykh Ashraf Ali Thanwi (rahimahullah) was among the Ahl-ul-ilm, the people of knowledge. If and when someone's name occurred he used to consider respect for that person to be necessary. Even if it was a person who bore absolute enmity towards him, he never allowed respect to leave his side.
Statements towards Shaykh (Maulana) Tariq Jameel (HA):
There is a litany of statements against laymen which we will omit for the sake of brevity and only record 3 of the latest statements towards an Alim Shaykh (Maulana) Tariq Jameel (HA):
- Shaitaan inspires into the clogged brains of the likes of the Tariq Jameel character.
- The Ummah is not in need of deviate morons such as Tariq Jameel to teach Muslims his rubbish methods of satanic propagation.
- Tariq Jameel had created the satanic idea of haraam food and haraam earnings being halaal, and of music and cinema being halaal.
Contrast the behaviour of Shaykh (Maulana) Ashraf Ali Thanwi (RA) towards Maulana Ahmed Raza Khan Barelwee (RA) to the statements above and feel free to try to reconcile in your mind.
Disregard towards Fatwaas of a Mujaddid?
If I admit to a Shaykh (XYZ) being a Mujaddid or last Mujaddid or one of the most staunch Ulama on Haq, what impression am I giving you about his Academic standing and stature?
Then I turn around and REJECT his Fatwa and act to the contrary, should you not at least ask me as to what qualifications do I have to reject the Fatwa of a Mujaddid or an Alim whom I deem to be one of the last standing on Haqq?
What gives you this right, the following verse of the Qur’aan:
[61:2] O you who believe, why do you say what you do not do? [61:3] It is severely hateful in Allah‘s sight that you say what you do not do.
Is this a Truth or Haqq issue?
For a long we have been asserting that it isn’t a Haqq (or truth) issue because every believers must strive his (or her) utmost to stick to the truth. It is about the mannerism, tone and spears of words thrown at other believers (Ulama included). After opening 10+ threads banning others from responding to them our noble Brothers are no way close to explaining or justifying their actions.
The second issue is DISREGARDING a clear Fatwa from someone they believe to be on Haqq.

- Yes much of this has been said before but then so are the arguments made in the Qur’aan so would you vote “OLD” for a verse just because you have heard it before?

Remember that neither of the actions above answer the questions raised in this thread and unlike (our Brothers who block others from responding) this is open for anyone to respond so you have the opportunity (for the umpteenth time to respond). You merely show the shallowness of your position and the emptiness of your rhetoric by refusing to respond and opening another thread and barring others from responding.
