This is the very reason why the other Pakistani Ulama present "the other opinion"

Promoting and celebrating the killing of anyone can and will be used against us.

Discussing a news topic is one thing, supporting it is another. Please be careful as your comments may put others at risk.

Our condolences go out to each and every "Innocent" civilian killed.

Charlie Hebdo mocked our beloved Prophet saww, called it freedom of speech and said that if Muslims don't like, they might not laugh. (ma'azallah).

Today I celebrate his death and call it freedom of expression and say that if they don't like it, they might not celebrate!!!!

Im very confused about this recent attack. At one hand making fun of Prophet (sallalahu alayhi wa sallem) is just sick and you dont have the right to mock him in anyway but killing 12? I read a in news that the French imam says that these minorities have nothing to do with İslam. Social media even turks reprimend the attack and writes Je suis Charlie? What should be our attitude when we hear this story from our loved onces?

I believe everyone will hold their own thoughts to themselves and will not say anything on a public forum that will harm them or its members.

Here is what One American Imam had to say:
Quote:
Yasir Qadhi, an assistant professor of Islamic studies at Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee, said he took a more nuanced view.

“Loving the prophet is a necessary requirement of (faith). Defending his honor is a sign of belief. This is done by following his teachings and practice, not by murdering in his name,” Qadhi wrote in a widely shared Facebook post. “Even for those who believe that the penalty for blasphemy should be death: by unanimous consensus of all the scholars of Islam, this must take place after a legitimate trial, by a qualified judge, appointed by a legitimate Islamic state. Under no circumstances does Islam allow vigilante justice.”

“The damage these people do to the image of the prophet is much more than cartoonists do to our prophet,” Qadhi, who is also dean of academic affairs at Houston-based AlMaghrib Institute, said in an interview, adding that he believed “Muslims in the modern world need to talk and engage about blasphemy in Muslim countries. But no reputable cleric is calling for laws like that in America or Paris.”

i see thank you. im not suprised anymore. its always the muslims . Nobody attacks hindus, buddists jews but they attack İslam from everyway. If someone made fun of Budda everyone in the world would reprimand but when it comes to our Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallem) nobody says anything. İs this justice?

Yasir Qashi has left Houston and moved pretty close to us in America and I was going to meet him last week but got injured in an accident and couldn't. Need to talk to him face to face to discuss a number of things.

Anyways...

I believe that the matter needs to be detailed by Ulama because at the moment the strategy is not working! The nasty cartoons falsely attributed (*) to Nabi (Sallallaho Alaihe Wassallam) are over the web now with millions having access to them.

(*) I don't believe that Nabi (Sallallaho Alaihe Wassallam) can actually be depicted in a picture or cartoon

this is reaally intresting in here you have given hadiths about the permisibility of killing the mockers of the Prophet(sallallahu alayhi wa sallem) but Turkish Religious Affairs comes up and says "Whoever induced and made the attack have no respect for Allah" Thats confusing??? İ mean our religious affairs must have access to these hadiths that are mentioned in here?

The biggest force in the radicalisation of young muslims, in Europe over the course of the last twenty years.
Has been the western Media, if you vilify, demonise, dehumanise, and wage a fanatically relentless campaign of psychological warfare against a section of the community, then common sense dictates there will be long term consequences.

Twenty years ago after the downfall of the soviet union, the media in the west openly declared that the red menace of communism is dead, and the new enemy is the green menace of Islam. An entire generation of youth have grown up seeing themselves, being demonised and vilified on a daily basis. And they wonder why they are being radicalised what exactly do they expect.

As for the French, their level of bigotry and hatred of muslims surpasses every other country in Europe. And is deeply embedded in their colonial history, 1.6 Million Algerians alone were butchered by the french, during their era of colonial terrorism. In the colonial era they tried to forcibly with extreme barbarity convert muslims to Christianity, they forcibly imposed the French language. Thats why the arabs in Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria, all former French colonies speak a dialect that is a fusion of French, and Arabic.

And the Muslims living in France are from those very countries, so not only do the wounds of colonial french tyranny run very deep. They French have on top waged a fanatical campaign of Tyrrany and hatred against the muslim immigrant population.

The newspaper in question was deliberately inciting bigotry and hatred, so I suppose it is fair to say the Chickens have come home to roost.

Actions are according to intentions!

Regardless of the depiction, the aim was there. In the time of the Prophet (saw) the power was in poetry, today it's in the pen.

The intention is clear and that was to defame Islam and the Prophet(saw).

Here is what a writer from the Catholic League website has to say.

MUSLIMS ARE RIGHT TO BE ANGRY

Quote:
Bill Donohue comments on the killing of 12 people at the Paris office of the newspaper Charlie Hebdo:

Killing in response to insult, no matter how gross, must be unequivocally condemned. That is why what happened in Paris cannot be tolerated. But neither should we tolerate the kind of intolerance that provoked this violent reaction.

Those who work at this newspaper have a long and disgusting record of going way beyond the mere lampooning of public figures, and this is especially true of their depictions of religious figures. For example, they have shown nuns masturbating and popes wearing condoms. They have also shown Muhammad in pornographic poses.

While some Muslims today object to any depiction of the Prophet, others do not. Moreover, visual representations of him are not proscribed by the Koran. What unites Muslims in their anger against Charlie Hebdo is the vulgar manner in which Muhammad has been portrayed. What they object to is being intentionally insulted over the course of many years. On this aspect, I am in total agreement with them.

Stephane Charbonnier, the paper’s publisher, was killed today in the slaughter. It is too bad that he didn’t understand the role he played in his tragic death. In 2012, when asked why he insults Muslims, he said, “Muhammad isn’t sacred to me.” Had he not been so narcissistic, he may still be alive. Muhammad isn’t sacred to me, either, but it would never occur to me to deliberately insult Muslims by trashing him.

Anti-Catholic artists in this country have provoked me to hold many demonstrations, but never have I counseled violence. This, however, does not empty the issue. Madison was right when he said, “Liberty may be endangered by the abuses of liberty as well as the abuses of power.”
