The kuffar has always opposed Islam. Do NOT blame Muslims for the actions of kuffar, they will start all these atrocities either way. It now our choice to act according to Allah Taala's command.

Those Muslim representatives, who are busy in condemning that shooting in Paris, will also be responsible for that. That's what I think, because they instead of saying that hebdo (mal'oon)'s contaminated and rotten acts caused this, said that it is due to extremism in Muslims. Okay, this might be extremism, but who stimulated this extremism, of-course it is that news paper and hebdo (mal'oon) responsible for this.

I am sure that those Muslim anchorpersons and government officials, who are condemning this event, will never condemn that magazine. Because they are their beneficiaries and therefore can't blow whistle against them.

Inna Lillahi wa Inna ila'ihe raaji'oon.

Nobody is blaming the Muslims but I am saying that "some of the actions" of the Muslims may exacerbate the situation. In India BJP/RSS goons will not let go of any opportunity to rile against Islam/Muslims; understood.

But if in reaction in a city of 1.7% Muslims if a Muslim decided to enter a Mandir and slit the throat of a Hindu woman inside the Mandir which results in 99.3% Hindu charging at Muslims with weapons and going on a killing spree then the (Muslim) actioner has to take some responsibility.

Important article posted by Shaykh Abdur Raheem Limbada [db] a few hours ago. A must-read for all Muslims!

Guidelines for the Muslim Community regarding new cartoons to be published Tomorrow - Wednesday 14 January 2015

The following points are general guidelines for Muslims on how to initially deal with and immediately react to the depiction of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ in magazines due to be published tomorrow (WEDNESDAY).

1. For every Muslim, Love of the Prophet ﷺ is a NECESSARY part of his/her FAITH. He is dearer to us than our mothers, fathers, sons & daughters. We prefer him to our own self.

2. The publishing of cartoons will definitely hurt the sentiments of 1.8 billion Muslims around the world, as well as millions of non-Muslims who respect the great personality of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).

3. Muslims do believe in freedom of speech. And they do respect the right for people to say what they believe to be correct. However, we all know that there is no such thing as absolute free speech. There are laws to protect the dignity and properties of people. We urge all decent minded Governments and individuals to respect these sensitivities, as we should respect all races and religions.

4. As it is clear that the cartoons are to be published again, Muslims will inevitably be hurt and angered, but our reaction must be a reflection of the teachings of the one we love & are angered for, ﷺ. Enduring patience, tolerance, gentleness and mercy as was the character of our beloved Prophet (peace and Blessings be upon him) is the best and immediate way to respond.
With dignified nobility we must be restrained, as the Quran says “And when the ignorant speak to them, they say words of Peace.”
Our aim is to not, inadvertently, give the cartoons more prominence through our attention. Muslims must remain calm and peaceful in their speech and actions. Repel harm with goodness is the Qur’anic imperative and by which the Prophet Muhammad lived. Legal action, civil protest, letter writing & other legal avenues can then be considered, insha Allah.

5. Muslims have to remember that by depicting the Prophet ﷺ, no one can ever tarnish his image, as he is way beyond what is depicted, as Allah says, ‘We have elevated for you your name’. We should spend such regrettable moments in reading lots of Durood, sending salawaat and blessings to his beloved personality. May Allah's mercy, peace & blessing be upon his soul.

6. Engage with others about your feelings. Speak of your love for the Prophet ﷺ and do not be shy to let your non-Muslims friends know your justified anger at the mockery that is made of our faith. People need to know HOW MUCH WE LOVE OUR NABI ﷺ.

7. Learn more & share more about the great Prophet Muhammed ﷺ.

Hassaan bin Thaabit (may Allah be pleased with him) describes him with the following couplets:

"My eyes have never seen anyone more perfect than you

No woman has given birth to anyone more handsome than you

You have been created free from all defects

As if you were created the way you wished"

8. We should, through our actions and deeds, display the sublime character of the Prophet (peace be upon him). The Prophet faced many great challenges but he exhibited impeccable beauty and character in his actions. He did not react inhumanely or violently. He was attacked verbally and physically in Taif but he forgave the people. His uncle and companions were murdered but he reacted peacefully and in a human manner. And there are many such examples from the seerah of the Prophet (peace be upon him) we must display.

9. As British citizens we must not allow tragic incidents of Paris allow hate to creep into our hearts. Muslims, non-Muslims and people of all backgrounds must come together and show unity and solidarity and not let it divide our communities. We must remember the statements of the Prophet (peace be upon him) such as: “Someone who unjustly kills a Dhimmi (non-Muslim person under protection) cannot attain a whiff of Heaven. However, its fragrance is felt from a distance of forty years. (Sahih Bukhari), or, “He who hurts a Dhimmi (non-Muslim person under protection) hurts me, and he who hurts me annoys Allah.” (Tabarani) And many other similar hadiths highlighting that Muslims are not allowed to hurt their non-Muslim brothers and sisters in humanity.

10. We must continuously supplicate to Allah that He rectifies our situation. Pray to Him that the chaos, injustice and oppression is lifted from our society. We should pray to Allah so that He makes Britain a better, fairer and just country for all. Pray to Him to aid the oppressed and the victims of the oppressors in France and all over the world. Pray that He allows us to contribute to a more peaceful and just world. Sincerely pray at night and beseech Him to protect our honour and our dignity.

May Allah give us the ability to do what is right and avoid what is wrong. May Allah protect the humanity from trials and tribulations. Ameen

Here are some more general bullet points regarding current events advised by Shaykh Muhammad Saleem Dhorat [db]. They can be downloaded as PDF in English , French , Spanish , Arabic & Urdu . Please read, practise & share.

[Note: Please don't underestimate the simple advices of our scholars in such crucial times.]

Seven Important and Precious Advices regarding Recent Events

During these critical times, the Muslims should observe the following:

1. With love and reverence, carefully study the beautiful life of our beloved Prophet sallallāhu ‘alayhi wasallam from authentic reliable sources.

2. Frequently make mention of this beautiful life to both Muslims and non-Muslims alike.

3. Distribute leaflets and booklets which cover aspects of this great life far and wide.

4. Give place to his illuminating teachings in your daily life so that others can appreciate the greatness of his exemplary conduct.

5. Send salutations and greetings upon him in abundance.

6. Supplicate to Allāh ta‘ālā, beseeching Him to pardon our sins and to grant us assistance and protection from all evil.

7. Exercise patience and remain within the boundary set by our beloved Prophet sallallāhu ‘alayhi wasallam.

All the advice is well and good, but the French had any decency then they could tell the cartoonists NOT to produce images depicting any religious figures, especially the Prophets.

Their hatred now is against fanatics, terrorism, terrorist attacks and terrorist organizations etc, so why not just draw cartoons ridiculing them and not associate any religion with it.

It's obvious, these highly intelligent morons hate Islam and therefore won't do as above.

[quote]Zuckerberg also revealed he had received death threats two years ago in response to content depicting the prophet Muhammad on the social networking site.

“An extremist in Pakistan fought to have me sentenced to death because Facebook refused to ban content about Muhammad that offended him.

“We stood up for this because different voices – even if they’re sometimes offensive – can make the world a better and more interesting place,” he wrote.

Erdogan blasts Netanyahu and 'West's hypocrisy' over Paris attack

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, meeting his Palestinian counterpart Mahmoud Abbas in Ankara on Monday, strongly criticized Israel's Benjamin Netanyahu for attending Sunday's memorial ceremony in Paris.

"How can a man who has killed 25,000 people in Gaza with state terrorism wave his hand in Paris, lilke people are waiting in excitement for him to do so? How dare he go there?" Erdogan said of the Israeli prime minister.

"You should first give an account for the children and the women you have killed," the Turkish president said. Erdogan is known for his frequent and strong criticisms of Israeli government policy, despite close bilateral trade ties between the countries.

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas also attended Sunday's ceremony; he and Netanyahu both took up prominent positions on either side of French President Francois Hollande during the march through the city.

'Obvious hypocrisy'

Erdogan did not attend the ceremony, but Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu was present.

"The West's hypocrisy is obvious. As Muslims, we've never taken part in terrorist massacres. Behind these lie racism, hate speech and Islamophobia," Erdogan said. "Please, the administrations in those countries where our mosques are attacked need to take measures."

"Games are being played with the Islamic world, we need to be aware of this," Erdogan said.

Erdogan, whose prime minister spent Tuesday in Berlin rejecting allegations that Turkey had allowed one of the Paris gunmen's partners to move freely into Syria, instead questioned the French police response monitoring the attackers, who had recently served prison sentences.

"French citizens carry out such a massacre and Muslims pay the price. That's very meaningful … Doesn't their intelligence organization track those who leave prison?" he asked.

Turkey has long criticized its NATO partners for its cautious stance on the conflict in Syria and for siding with Israel over the Palestinians in the Middle East peace process. The West, for its part, has been critical of Turkey for allowing radicalized Europeans to cross the border into Syria.

Facebook apologises, says removal of Hamza Ali Abbasi status was mistake

CEO and Founder of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg on Monday said his social network's removal of actor Hamza Ali Abbasi's status regarding the Charlie Hebdo attack and freedom of expression may have been a mistake.

When asked by one profile Angelic Munni what Zuckerberg has to say about his network's deletion of Hamza's post, Mark Zuckerberg responded: "I don't think this should have been blocked. Our team might have made a mistake. Justin, can you look into this?"

In the response, Zuckerberg tagged Justin Osofsky, whose Facebook profile identifies him as Vice President of Global Operations and Media Partnerships for Facebook. The CEO's comment has so far got over 950 'likes'.

Osofsky later commented on the thread and apologised. "As Mark mentioned, we made a mistake in taking this down. We try to do our best, but sometimes make mistakes. We apologize for this error, and hope that the author will re-post it as we are not able to restore it from our end. Thanks for bringing it to our attention."

Pakistani actor and director Hamza Ali Abbasi Sunday said that Facebook authorities deactivated his profile and removed his status in which he had condemned the killings at the Parisian office of satirical weekly Charlie Hebdo.

Quote:
In the days since the Charlie Hebdo shooting we’ve witnessed some powerful responses to the attack: from tens of thousands taking to the street in unity rallies to Liberal Democrat leader Nick Clegg, and from an imam who arrived at the scene of the murders to Private Eye editor Ian Hislop.

LBC presenter James O’Brien made his own powerful point about not blaming Muslims for the events in Paris of the last week when he dismantled a caller to his show demanding the Islamic community apologises.

Richard, a caller from Maidenhead, said although a “very minority group” carried out the terror attacks in the French capital a wider apology “was needed”.

Here’s the transcript of what happened next:

James O’Brien:
Why should Abbas, the last caller, apologise for what these murderers in Paris did?’

Richard:
Well because the alternative is that there is no apology.

James O’Brien:
Have you apologised yet?

Richard:
Apologised for what?

James O’Brien:
The murders in Paris on Wednesday.

Richard:
Why would I need to apologise for that?

James O’Brien:
Why does Abbas? He was in Berkshire (UK).

Richard:
They’re doing it in the name of Islam.

James O’Brien:
Not his Islam. They might have been doing it in the name of Richards, wouldn’t mean it was about you.

how is a kafir in britain a dhimmi? does he pay jizya? how can you give THEM amaan when you live in THEIR country?
there are no brothers and sisters in humanity. only non-combatants and combatants. this is precisely why i warn about fatawa from ulema in dar ul harb wal kufr.
