RIYADH — Orientalists are spreading false propaganda about the Qur’an and Hadeeth and their voice is above others as they are read and heard all over the world.
All their misleading works are called research and even some groups of educated Muslims are influenced by them, a renowned Hadeeth scholar and King Faisal Award winner said here recently.
"Muslims should not get influenced by their malicious and false propaganda," Dr. Muhammad Mustafa Azmi said at the fourth Lajna Ilmiya workshop titled “From the cradle to the grave” here recently.
Azmi, who was the chief guest at the event, said both the teacher and the student should follow the Qur’an and Hadeeth as the teacher is a trainer on one hand while on the other he is a witness and a witness should follow Islam completely because today’s student is a teacher of future.
"If we would have paid heed to this distinguishing feature of following the Qur’an and Hadeeth in our education, the misleading gossip of the enemies would not have influenced us," he said.
Dr. Azmi is a Saudi of Indian origin. After completing his education from Darul Uloom Deoband, he did MA from Al-Azhar University and Ph.D. from Cambridge University.
He was a professor of Hadeeth in Umm Al-Qura University, Makkah and King Saud University, Riyadh.
