Assalamu alaykum. When my shaykh calls me devil or use similar words, I take it be a honor and he has all the authority. And when he calls me with respectful words like janab, muhtaram etc. I feel embraced and expect something fishy. Shaykh might have got reported about my mistakes. But: When someone unconnected or someone whom I have not given authority, repeats those words, I shall go wild. It is like a father slaps his son, seeing this a passerby or a neighbor of similar age slaps the son. And; When mischievous people report about myself to my shaykh and make him abuse me and broadcast those words, it is certainly not akhlaaq and aadaab. And I shall report to my shaykh to be silent when my opponents and haasids report about me. This is exactly what is happening on internet.
