Caution 1:
The GP (in UK) will refer the issue to Mental Health Clinic where the Nurse will give her a one page (Indian Call Centre style) diagnosis and the issue may not get anywhere UNLESS they are highly competent (which is unlikely).
Parents needs to insist on referring to a CBT therapist (practitioner) from theri GP all the way to the Mental Health Clinic. Remember! that the GP isn't trained (much) to do anything about this....
Unless the girl and family have access to exceptional GP surgery (postcode lottery)
Caution 2:
In UK we now have a lot of Sufees practising (phony CBT) as “Life Coaches” particularly many who belong to Tareeqa Muhammadiya and other (covert-Barelwees) often have very good relations with Deobandi Mashaykh (who haven’t investigated this yet).
Many of our (Deobandi) Sisters with marital problems, stress, nerves etc. are regularly attending these “Life Seminars” with these Sufees who often have a quote of Shaykh (Hazrat) Maulana Ashraf Ali Thanwi (RA) here or there during their presentations.
Many jobless, stressed out and brothers with marital problems are also attending these “Life Seminars”
Therapy and counciling is free on the NHS and no need to fall for covert-Barelwees
Even a search on youtube will give you plenty of NHS approved videos and techniques.
