Where the Qur'an describes the objectives and results of Muhammadur Rasulullah ﷺ his sending and teachings, it mentions the following four explicitly:
- Reciting
- Teaching of Kitab
- Teaching of Hikmah
- Purifying of Souls
It is He who has sent among the unlettered a Messenger from themselves reciting to them His verses and purifying them and teaching them the Book and wisdom - although they were before in clear error. [62:2]
Just as We have sent among you a messenger from yourselves reciting to you Our verses and purifying you and teaching you the Book and wisdom and teaching you that which you did not know. [2:151]
In fact, dispatching Rasulullah ﷺ was based on these four branches. Just as Muhammadur Rasulullah ﷺ presented the world a new divine scripture, he granted it also knowledge and wisdom. Likewise he brought new Akhlaq, new passion and (inner) states, new conviction and beliefs, new affection and enthusiams, new high-mindedness, new passion for sacrifice, new enthusiasm for Akhirah, new passion for Zuhd and contenment, despise for the lowly goods and temporary wealth of this Dunya, new love and affection, noble beheaviour and compassion, piety and empathy and honorable moral traits... in the same manner new passion for Ibadaah, fear and awe, Tawbah and penitence, the wealth of supplicating and humility and then on the foundation of all these qualities this new Islamic society and religious enviroment was established - which is usually named the era of Prophethood and the era of Sahabah رضي الله عنهم. The noble companions were the most perfect representives and best examples of the dispatchings objectives and results. If one wants to observe these branches of prophethood shine in common lives, then look at the group of the noble Sahabah.
Essentially Rasulullah's ﷺ sending, prophethood and teaching were the source of all these blessings and from them this whole life and Islamic society of the first generation came into existence. But if one dissolves the way of procedures' details and its means and instruments, then one reaches the conclusion that the means of this mind-boggling revolution and the elements and pillars in formation of this new society and new Ummah were these three things:
- The revered being of Rasulullah ﷺ and his life, Seerah and Akhlaq.
- The holy Qur'an.
- Rasulullah's ﷺ statements and guidances, lectures and advices and teaching and instructions.
