Windows 7 Arabic/Urdu Support Questions?

Asslamo Allaikum All,

It appears that only Windows 7 Enterprise edition has multilingual support and all other versions are devoid of it?

  1. I have played around with my laptop and installed Phonetic Urdu keyboard
  2. I then set the Urdu Keyboard to Phonetic
  3. I then installed Office 2013 LIP
  4. Everything is working fine

Can this be done on other versions of Windows 7 or is it just restricted to Windows 7 Enterprise edition?

کو ی مسئلہ نہیں ، اردو کام کر رہی ہے۔۔۔۔مگر کیا یہ دوسری ونڈوز پر چلے گی؟

Do you mean multilingual support for typing (keyboard) or for the language of the OS itself?

I believe I have Windows 7 Home Premium and I have the Urdu and Arabic keyboards activated along with English. Try this page:

Anyway, what brother abu mohammed posted seems to be correct.
