Interesting, please present the example in the link above. Would this too be considered Sunnah.
I appreciate I don't know the Shafi' Madhab, but its just a matter of interest as I understand their rulings are derived upon their usools.


I have 3 small comments on this issue:
That should be the end of the matter as classical Islamic book would merely reproduce the rulings of Madhab and leave it at that.
I do find is astonishing from Hanafees to comment further and say that this was ONCE in a lifetime action of Nabi (Sallallaho Alaihe Wassallam) when we are told of many examples to follow Sunnah based on weak narrations or once in a lifetime actions, just saying that we don't accept this as a Sunnah (action) would suffice and no reason to drag logic into it.
You can read the books of Akabir and come across many examples where they state that ONCE Nabi (Sallallaho Alaihe Wassallam)said this or did this etc...
This isn't Sunnah in the Hanafi Madhab is good enough for me to be honest :P
