This reminds me of a Maulana who used to visit our place to teach Noorani qaida to me & my sister while very young..
Maulana رحمة الله عليه was an old man.. and would get upset very soon.. he told us once never to say 'TaTa' while bidding farewell.. that Tata is the name of a shaytaan who lived in America.. :-)

Now i had to see what happens if one said so.. of course there was none other to experriment than the Maulana saheb.. so after the class when he was about to leave on his cycle as usual.. i cried a loud "TaTa" .. khallas..! that was it.. ! Maulana said he wasnt coming to teach from tomorrow..

My dear grandmother somehow learnt of this and with a rebuke sent me to his house to apologise.. well.. he returned the next day.. but the itch to say Tata sprung once again after sometime.. and he stopped coming again..

well after two chances.. i told my sister it was her turn now.. :-)

The Maulana continued to teach knowing kids will be kids..

Past the date in title but insha'Allah... in reply to the sincere invitation and suggestion, brought to my attention by another sincere and amazing person masha'Allah, I wish to extend my request for forgiveness to one and all insha'Allah.

May Allah Ta'aala grant brothers london and sulaiman, and any other member who is not feeling well, complete recovery to good health and, along with brother dr76 and sister ummi taalib and many others, the strength to perform all the ibaadah our hearts desire, and may He accept our intentions as if we had performed them for His sake, and may He make these brothers and sisters (and all others not mentioned here by name) a means of good for the Ummah of Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallem) and grant that we all learn from their good character and kindness. May He grant them and their families, and us all, forgiveness (of sins), health and strong imaan, softness of heart (to forgive others), and barakah in all that is good - justice, kindness, humility, good deeds, ibaadah, time and knowledge to name but a few. Ameen.

Requesting du'aas for myself and my family - for forgiveness, health, hidayah, strengthened imaan, increase and strength in all characteristics and habits that are good for us in this world and the akhirah and repulsion and distancing from all things and characteristics that are harmful.

I think I've caused a lot of pain (ok, maybe just a teeny tiny bit)

I asked the auths to delete my posts which they did coz I really didn't want to upset anyone. I did ask for forgiveness then, and I did get a like from that member, so I took that as an ok, alhumdulillah.

But again, please continue to benefit us with your great work.

No need to mention names, I'm pretty sure you know what I mean. If you don't continue, then like the others, I too will think no forgiveness was granted :(
