I think the main thing here in my opinion is that all sides/groups need to get their priorities right. Without that happening nothing will come to avail and the Muslims will still be trying implement other ideologies and failing and being slaughtered worldwide.

The Prophet (saw) warned about these times, to the nearest meaning the end of times will be severely confusing times, and if you have a sword then replace it with a wooden one, another ahadith says the person who will be walking, the standing one will be better than him, and the sitting one will be better than the one standing, and the one lying down will be better than the one sitting, I've heard this in a talk by Mufti Abdur Rahman Manghera, aren't these the times we live in today of severe confusion ?

Times were we have so many internal sell outs it's unbelievable, what beats is our muslim govts are bootlickers of the kuffar, but to top it up people are corrupt and all mostly (majority ) care about their secular ideologies and values rather than Islamic ones. In this very thread we discussed 'double agents', these agents will exist till the end of time, but till the Muslims don't unite and get their priorities right nothing will bring them benefit.

Many of you will hate this statement, The way things are going and it's sad to say this, but when Imam Mehdi comes many of these groups and their Shaykhs will reject Imam Mehdi in the start, all due to their secular ideologies, shaykh worship, cultist behaviour etc, Muslims need to get their priorities right and go back to basics.

His Mureed is Shaykkh Faraz Rabbani (HA) who also happens to be his student and this is an example Fatwa:

www.sunniforum.com/forum/showthread.php?77569-quot-Ya-Ali...

Only London786 Saheb (HA) is Shaykh Nuh (HA)'s fan along with some British Sufees

Now would you rephrase the question please? :P

Being a person's student/teacher doesn't mean that he agrees with all his views.
I haven't read much about Shaykh Keller. But from whatever I have heard about him, he is on the right path bi izinillah.

Bro I have thoroughly analysed shaykh Nuh keller's lectures. As a deobandi I may not agree with him on some issues but it is unfair to put shaykh nuh and others in the same category. He is far more orthodox than faraz Rabbani, Hamza yusuf, abdul hakim murad, umar Farooq Abdullah. With regards to what his mureeds do well many of them being converts have a huge amount of social baggage which cannot be blamed on the shaykh. Then you have the likes of faraz Rabbani who have the north American touch included. The shaykh is very orthodox with an organized form of sulook. If one is his mureed contact is fairly easy. He sends audio responses to questions by mureeds etc. His suhbas are pure classics going through classical texts in a systematic manner.

Even though the wahhabis are evil and enemies of the sunnis supporting the disbelievers against them is still kufr. If the wahhabis rule one should first try to get his rights. If they do not give the rights to the sunnis then the sunnis should leave the country. But taking the aid from the kuffar against them to establish a democratic state is kufr and will always be kufr.
For example in Syria the Islamic State of Iraq and Sham is wahhabi and most of its members are following the khariji teachings of Ibn Abdil Wahhab. But taking help from the West to fight them is kufr. Wahhabis are muslims and secularists are not.
I do not know what Shaykh Yaqoubi says exactly about Syria. But if he supports the FSA and the National Coalition in building a democratic state then we should not hesitate to give verdict about him. The FSA has many muslim members. But the command has apostated.

Shaykh Nuh Ha Mim Keller is one of better ones. He is not lenient in the shariah like others. But he justifies raqs and music during dhikr and this is not acceptable. This is an opinion about which there is only disagreement regarding it being kufr or not. Whoever holds such a position cannot be accepted as a scholar.

I think it is very problematic that many sufis have issues with takfir. Takfir of course has it's dangers but in some cases it is even more dangerous not to make takfir. The takfiri problem lies not in takfir itself but rather in the reasons of takfir. All the so called takfiris are nothing more but strict followers of Muhammad Ibn Abdil Wahhab. They follow his understanding of tawhid and make takfir of anyone who goes against his understanding of tawhid.
A takfir which is based on let's say the maturidi madhhab is nothing wrong as long as the legal principles of takfir are uphold. Mawlana Desai has done much to clear up this issue. But his writtings on this are not wide spread. People concentrate too much on his legal fatwas.
Therefore if we hear that someone makes takfir we should not dismiss him before hearing the reasons. If the reasons are false then his problems are not takfir but aqida. If his reasons are authentic but the rules for the procedure of takfir have not been adhered to then his problem is indeed takfir.

Shaykh's Aqeedah about Tawassul and Istigatha may agree with Sufees but are no way mainstream or classical at all. These views are clearly reflected by his student Shaykh Faraz Rabbani (HA).

If you read Shaykh Faraz Rabbani (HA)'s responses you will notice references to his Shaykh and teachers at Damascus.

Agree there are major issues with their views on tawausl and istigatha. I would not disagree with you on this point. For sure nobody should follow faraz rabbani's or shaykh nuh's views on these two topics. The deobandi position is far more sound and safer.

I believe we should be on a middle path and that is be with the Sufis but reject their pseudo-Sufic practices and believes and be with the Salafis and reject their pseudo-Salafi practices and believes. We should neither categorically disown all Sufis as some Salafis do, neither categorically reject all Salafis as some Sufis do.

Shaykh Nuh is indeed very orthodox compared to others. But he justifies sufi raqs which is according to some scholars kufr and according to others not. Our naqshbandi shuyukh and ottoman muftis made takfir of the dancer and musician during dhikr.
