salaams,
yesterday at the naqshabandi ijtima mufti sahib spoke for a little while, and he was visibly upset at the responses that he has received to this video. he mentioned that muslims were close to kufr and that we can't become content because we live in a muslim area (meaning masjid and muslim community etc). these issues should be a wake up call for us!! muslims are on the brink of kufr, yet how much effort do we make for the ummah

he also mentioned that contrary to some peoples belief, this isn't just the duty of the ulama but rather a collective duty of every muslim

the naqshabandi ijtima at upton lane masjid and mufti abdur rahman whos video was posted above.
at the end of the day it can be refuted over and over again but some people don't really care about that, they just want to 'enjoy' themselves and show the west that they 'fit in'. also i noticed two people in the video 1.dr hakim murad 2.raheem jang. im not sure if i got the names right, one is a scholar and the other is a islamic tv presenter or something similar. so some people will just turn around and say oh so and so was in the video hence they approve

Why have zamzam academy only put a ten min clip up on their YouTube channel ?

Mufti saheb is awesome but a short clip don't do this topic any justice, I think a detailed a vid is needed on the harms of modernism.

He mentioned that he came across many Muslims who had apostated, many who never believed in Islam no more, many living with non Muslim partners then giving their children english names. What was worrying is, when we hear about the North and areas like Dewsbury, Blackburn etc we automatically think that the effort is really strong up there hence they won't be having such issues, but the truth is this is a growing trend now all over and more and more work is needed. i don't know of any refutation directly aimed at this happy muslim video thing, but theres a few articles on islamic21c about this video and also on the issue of music. i doubt it would be hard to find articles related to music, dancing etc from deobandi ulama, i havn't looked myself though.
yeah i'm not surprised that is the state of things, because lets be honest - we are deluded to think everything is ok because we see some people in the masjids, so its ok for us to take a backseat and relax (i talk to myself firstly), most of us only worry about out own race aswell. i partake in the effort of tabligh and i've seen/spoken to people who live next to the masjid who it seems are so close to kufr, allahu a'lam. these people don't need an academic refutation because they will just go on mufti google and find someone giving 'evidence' to support their view. i'm not saying that academic refutation isn't needed, of course it is. however theres alot more to it, muslims are living in a state of submissivness and inferiority complex (weak eemaan), muslims don't have knowledge of their fard 'ain, muslims don't have love for allah or his rasool and the list goes on (again i talk to myself firstly). we have ulama, madaaris, mashayikh, tabligh jamaat etc etc. but we have it in our mind to always do the bare minimum in everything
