He is still good, he was removed because he praised modi's development model. And that was good on part of Deoband to remove him from that post.
But as in general sense he still a nice Maulana who works alot on education field. As far as i know.

I don't get what the issue is bro. He was sacked/resigned on a flimsy excuse. There was a talk that maulana abu uzair posted on sf about the whole issue. Maulaana vastanvi did an amazing job in akalkuwa and I am sure he would have made deoband more of a success. Maulaana vastani db has been coming to the UK for a long time so no big deal if somebody invites him for a lecture. The system that he runs is very visionary. May ALLAH SWT bless him. All of the mentioned is said with the husne dhann that he did not praise modi in anyway and was misquoted by the media. I can't imagine any sane muslim praising him.

I didn't say any of this. I asked what the issue is.

To my knowledge he was sacked by DU Deoband. Maulana Abu Uzair (HA) says that he wasn't sacked but merely stepped down. So my query was based on "false" knowledge that he was sacked, which I inquired and I am told that he wasn't sacked but voluntarily stepped down.

If he wasn't sacked then the whole of India Media has been lying and the Press Release from DU Deoband is also wrong.

Yes, brother muadh. The sad thing is what actually happened to him in Deoband. There should have been no real reason for him to step down. Maulaana Vastanvi's jamia akalkuwa is a huge institute which is currently doing a lot of great work. On the scale of things it is far larger than deoband.

I don't know anything about it but you guys are well seasoned in knowing how the mainstream media runs with Islam and Muslims. So just approach with caution...

Muadh has asked nothing out of the ordinary. I feel sorry for Indian laymen. Where can they go in all these conflicts??? It is very confusing.

Strange press message muadh. So basically according to that press release he was asked to resign as he promised (allegedly) and since he did not resign he was sacked??? Subhnallah is that the kind of press release to send out when the situation is very tense and at boiling point?

I have even asked Maulana Abu Uzair (HA) for Maulana Wastanvi (HA)'s address and he has nothing.

So we can't contact Ulamah, we can't ask on twitter, we can't ask on forums, can't trust press releases.

Yes, that is the problem uncle muadh. Laymen are not stupid. There is only a certain amount of wool you can pull over them.
