ALLAH protect us all. I noticed a few traits of burnouts. One is always criticizing without doing anything positive. The other is pride which is linked to criticizing. ALLAH save us all. We should cry to ALLAH all the time. Taufiq is from ALLAH. He could snatch it away from us at anytime. Once a young boy who was very intelligent was not taking notes in class. His teacher asked him why and he said in an arrogant tone that I am like Imam bukhari and I don't need to take any notes. The person himself could literally memorize a book by looking at it once. His teacher sighed and said it can be lost in memory lane sometimes. After that day due to sins, otherwise but most likely due to those words of disrespect memory went down and down and to this day it is way below average
Rabbana la tuzigh quloobana ba'da idh hadaytana wa hab lana milladunka rahmah innaka antal Wahhab
Our Lord! (they say), Let not our hearts deviate now after Thou hast guided us, but grant us mercy from Thine own Presence; for Thou art the Grantor of bounties without measure

I know an afghan brother who was very strong in deen and a pious Sufi.One day, his sheikh ( pious alim of deoband ) criticized the Taliban for some wrongs that they were doing when they first came into power. The brother who loved the Taliban a great deal, Decame angry by his teacher's view and left him while cursing his teacher. the brother even went as far as accusing him of being an American spy. ( Astaghfirullah ). End resulted: the brother went astray, his wife left him and now he is homeless, sleeping inside of a car. married to his cellphone, most of his time is spent on Facebook while hanging out in a mcdonald's because of the free wifi. til this day he won't make taubah and still curses the sheikh whom he left. May allah save us all from the evil that lurks inside us all.please pray that allah guides this brother back to the right path.ameen.
Threads like this brings us back to earth very quickly, very important to regularly check ourselves and if we find that we have erred then quickly repent
I will add something molana yahya numani told us but due to it being tj related (because there is mention of it here I don't want it to be linked to some posts) I will mention another time Inshallah
But very good reminder which will certainly make me re-evaluate my words and actions
A Maulvi saheb once wrote " Jamiya me gundon ki aamad" on the notice board, ( The entry of thugs inside the Jamiya) when some Jamaat e Islami Ulema were visiting the Madrassa. The ulema were linked to the Jamaat e Islami but were known for thier piety. The Maulvi saheb then was a great asset for Tableegh and full of vigour.
soon after he left Tableegh and joined Jamaat e Islami. then left it to become a salafi. he went to the extremes of salafism, met with a road accident and got paralysed waist down.
He now recovers slowly.. and the brothers in Tableegh visit him to see any soft corner that he may return.
May Allah سبحانه وتعالى give him shifa and make him & all an asset for deen.. Ameen..
One of the greatest favor upon us is being from the Ummah of Sayyidina Rasul-ullah (Sallallaho Alaihe Wassallam) which means that Allah (SWT) forgives us and forgives us and forgives us.
Great thread mashaAllah. Scary too! Remind me of the hadith;
Abu Hurairah reported that the messenger of Allah said: Towards the end of time a man will wake up a believer in the morning and end the day as an disbeliever, or end his day a believer and get up as a disbeliever the next morning. [Muslim]
But the pride to power is the most DEADLY and it is this "pride of power" which ruined Fir'uan and it is this pride of power which the Sahabah (RA) didn't have! They used to run away from being made Ameer and we look forward and desire to become an Ameer!
I think most of the people might have heard this saying in jods/gatherings;
if Taalem is not conducted in the house of Alim; then Jahils will come out of that house.
If Taleem is conducted in the house of Jahils, then Ulama Huffaz will come out of that house.
shaikh Ul hadith ml zakariyya advices about relying on Allah ta'ala and not on one's Shaikh or maulana or buzurg reliance on Him alone will grant you safety..
although the company of pious is beneficial but one has to rely on Almighty alone. this is in fazail e zikr part 2 hadith narrated from caliph Usman رضي الله عنه
Although what you said is correct in many ways however the means and wasila have always been a shaykh. The tafsir of wasila in the Quraan has been linked to a shaykh as mentioned by giants like shah waliullah rh, hazrat shah ismail Shaheed, qazi thanullah panipatti rh etc. This is the sunnah of ALLAH. Shaykh zakariya rh according to many would be classified a pir parast. When the room of maulana Khalil ahmed rh was demolished due to some extension shakh zakariya rh wanted the remains of the walls to be put in his grave. Hazrat maulana husain ahmed madni rh would do muraqabah at the grave of hazrat gangohi rh from asr to maghrib as is well known. The mashaikh of tasawuff emphasise isaale thwaab to mashaikh of the silsila and encourage the reading of the sharajah which is the names of the mashaikh of silsila. So Islam and personalitites have always been linked. In 1 narration there is a hadeeth about following Quraan and ahle bait...ahle bait are once again personalities. ALLAH did not only send Kitabullah but rijalullah. Having said this many of the great mashaikh like syed Halimi saab rh as well as our Imam shaykh Abdul Qadir gilani rh said a shaykh is for the weaning period and thereafter one is left to himself and ALLAH alone. At the same time I would agree that the vast majority of the shaykhs of today, their mureeds etc would not fall under the definition of wasila.
This cannot be undone and I am sure it will be greatly appreciated.
