A friend, Saleem Peerzada, hammered a thing or two into my mind about creation of Pakistan.
"Were they fools who were happy to carve out a small state for them?", he asked.
And that is when it hit me.
Muslims were as worried about their future before 1947 as they are now in independent India.
So if Pakistan movement looks like an unsophisticated innovation in the magnificent tapestry called Indian freedom struggle then it should not be taken as lacking in depth or concern. Future of a huge minority was at stake.
And the history on independent India has slowly born out that all of the worries were for real.

So brothers and sisters, especially Muadh Khan, I apologize for being irritated with the past history.

As London786 says that Muslims better start caring because deterioration in political circumstances has impact on Eemaan. The assertion that we need to continue to work on Eeemaan (ONLY) and be oblivious to everything else is absolutely fine when our levels of Eeemaan is already high but when we are suffering even little wind (let alone a storm) will affect us spiritually

I agree with him.
But in India our Muslim brothers and sisters are not picking up the Islamic spirit.
Globally also there is too much of division as well as lack of concern.
Just see how eager the Saudi dispensation and some gulf countries are to see the demise of Ikhwan in Egypt.
By the grace of Allah, Mufti Abul Qasim Sahab Nomani strongly against the rampant death sentences by Egyptian courts.
Then a few days ago Jami-at-e-Ulema's Hind too emphasized the same point.

I heard from a Scholar decades ago that if we look at strategy and tactics of Sayyidina Rasul-ullah (Sallallaho Alaihe Wassallam) then we witness something interesting:

  1. Nabi (Sallallaho Alaihe Wassallam) migrates to Madina
  2. 8 years of wars, negotiations, skirmishes with Quraish and at best we get a Peace Treaty
  3. Soon after the Peace Treaty Nabi (Sallallaho Alaihe Wassallam) disengages with Kuffar of Makkah and focues on Jews of Khayber, within 18 months Makkah fails and spectacularly without much resistance

Therefore I strongly believe that the minute Saudi Arabian regime is weakened or countered the Madkhali/Ahl-e-Hadeeth Fitnah will become weakened automatically!

There will always be people don't do Taqleed of four (4) Madhabs and that is a position taken by many Scholars the Fiqh isn't the issue its the division, strife, infighting which is causing the problem!

Hazrat Shaykh (Maulana) Arshad Madani (HA) should strategically realise this and ponder before he gives Bayans like what we gave this week!

The record of AKP in Turkey shows us that people do really care about Governance and if Modi achieves even half of what he is promising BJP will keep on winning!

The failure of Ulama in Pakistan (MMA) from NWFP also shows us the other side of the same coin.

Indian MP force-feeds Muslim man on fast

Last updated: 6 hours ago

TV footage shows lawmaker from Hindu nationalist Shiv Sena party shoving bread into Muslim supervisor's mouth.

There has been outrage in India after television footage showed a member of parliament from hardline Hindu nationalist outfit, Shiv Sena, trying to force-feed a man fasting for Ramadan, according to reports.

The incident took place last week in the capital, New Delhi, when eleven Shiv Sena parliament members confronted catering supervisor, Arshad Zubair, at the new Maharashtra Sadan, The Indian Express reported on Wednesday.

The MPs were complaining about the quality of food offered at the guest house for officials from the state of Maharashtra, where Shiv Sena is based.

The footage showed MP Rajan Baburao Vichare attempting several times to push the bread into the supervisor's mouth as a crowd gathered.

Vichare said he was not trying to break the supervisor's religious fast. Instead he was trying to demonstrate that the chapatis or piece of bread, being served were too hard.

The catering company's general manager said the supervisor had been "deeply pained and hurt" over the incident as "religious sentiments are attached".

The manager said the MPs had marched into the dining hall last week flanked by television crews and threw kitchen items around.

"They also issued physical threats to the kitchen and service staff while using highly objectionable language," the manager said in an email to a Maharashtra government official, which was obtained by the Indian Express newspaper.

The complaint said the victim was wearing a formal uniform with the name tag at the time of force-feeding; an act caught on camera and circulated widely on social media.

Uproar

Opposition Congress party legislators launched raucous protests in parliament, saying the MP had violated the man's religious beliefs by aggressively trying to shove a chapati in his mouth.

"It is absolutely reprehensible and should be condemned in the strongest possible manner," Congress party spokesman, Manish Tewari, later told reporters.

A top official of western Maharashtra state, Chief Secretary J Saharia, has said, "There are allegations like this. We are examining the whole issue and appropriate action will be taken", according to The Indian Express.

Shiv Sena, a key ally of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's party which swept to power in May elections, has a reputation of blocking Valentine parties besides promoting ethnic and religious chauvinism while targeting minorities, particularly Christians and Muslims in India.

The incident is likely to fan concern among Muslims and other religious minorities over Modi's Hindu nationalist Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government.

New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal released a video on Monday alleging that Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA Sher Singh Dagar tried to bribe their MLAs in a bid to help his party form government in Delhi.

“The dirty game being played by the BJP has been exposed. BJP MP Sher Singh Dagar had tried to bribe our MLAs,” Kejriwal said while addressing a press conference at Delhi's Constitution Club.

The party further said that Dagar had offered around Rs 4 crore to AAP MLA Dinesh Mohania at his residence.

“BJP should stop politics of horse-trading as everything is not for sale,” Mohania said.

The AAP chief said that the raw footage of the video will be submitted to the Supreme Court on Tuesday. They will then lodge an FIR with the police and approach election commission, he added.

He also posted the link of the alleged 'sting video' on his Twitter website.

Meanwhile, BJP has denied the accusations and said that AAP only believes in making allegations. The party also called for the authenticity of the video to be verified also.

BJP leader Subramaniam Swamy retorted that the alleged sting by AAP is a drama. “BJP does not need to buy anyone. Why take Arvind Kejriwal seriously?” Swamy asked.

Kejriwal's claims comes a day after BJP chief Amit Shah said that the party should form the government in Delhi as it has the required number of members, as per news reports.

AAP had earlier met President Pranab Mukherjee and urged him to not allow Lt Governor Najeeb Jung to invite BJP to form a government in Delhi.
