One of my students is in Karachi. Next to the Masjid is a Brothel and the woman used to supply prostitues. My student befriended the son of this woman and passed one of my Bayans to him on a tape.
The son went home and played the Cassette. The mother while walking around the house heard the Bayan but after a while she asked for to specifically listen to the talk.
After hearing it, she asked for it to be heard again and heard it the second time.
She then asked for it to be heard the 3rd time so she heard it the third time.
She asked her son as to who this is? Son said I have no idea! She asked her son who gave you this talk? Son replied that its been given by the Imam of the Mosque.
She took her son and came to speak to the Imam at the time when people were exiting the Mosque after Taraweeh Salah. She asked to speak to the Imam.
Maulana (Amjad) came to see her. She enquiried if the Cassette has been given by him to which he replied in the affirmative.
She asked, "Who is this (person talking)?"
Maulana (Amjad) replied, "Its my teacher." Whats his name?, She asked.
Tariq Jameel was the reply.
She asked, "He said that it doesn't matter how many sins are committed, Allah (SWT) accepts repentence so can my Taubah be accepted? You know what I do in this neighbourhood?"
She was told that ofcourse Taubah of everybody is accepted! To which she responded, "I make you my witness that I repent from my sins" and she started coming to the Masjid for Taraweeh from the next day. She started making dua, "O Allah! If you have accepted my Taubah then take me."
"O Allah! If you have accepted my Taubah then take me."
"O Allah! If you have accepted my Taubah then take me."
"O Allah! If you have accepted my Taubah then take me."
She used to make this dua loudly in the women section of the Masjid.
On the 29th night of Ramadhan in Sajdah (prostration) Allah (SWT) gave her death. All her life she supplied girls but she got the death of Rabia Basri (RA)!
This is Repentence!
