I agree that to lie about a particular layman being a mufti is wrong, even though he acts like one, and the language used is incredibly distasteful but if we're honest it's also quite revealing that not one person here seems to show the slightest outrage at the salafi fiqh and modernist arguments being used by members here used to misguide others.

We shouldn't lose sight of these offences being committed here. For example to say that the deobandi position is based on culture was a lie that was received, tolerated, and swallowed here without a single objection. That in itself is very concerning. To be fair, a few objections were made by a handful of brothers with respectful language but those were immediately deleted due to 'fitnah'. Which goes to show that the real problem is with the bitter truth, not the language used.

What exposes the modernist tendencies here conclusively is that while salafi fiqh is being tolerated here, calls are being made to ban south African fatwas. Give it a few years and there will be no difference between us and the modernists. The gap is lessening rapidly even if we choose to bury our heads in the sand.

Each and everyone has made their own comments, in or out of context, but only one is targeted!

Fatwa's or opinions of various Ulama have been posted regardless of background just to show another view whether it's accepted or not.

Frankly, I don't see why we should be giving this a platform to speak from or answer for individuals.

A lie was instigated based upon a member who has never claimed to be a scholar and is well known not to be one.

The one who should fear any repercussions is the questioner at hand.

Since no further clarification is required by others adding fuel to a person masquerading as a seeker of truth, but who is in fact an agreed upon liar, this thread can stay locked as its also not on topic.

If the accused would like to comment, then he knows full well on how to do that - his blogs.
