Ok I understand the discussion on using pool/pond water is well over, but it's been playing on my mind since I read it, by the way I've never seen use of pond/pool water for performing wudhu, so please excuse my naive questions....

- you use pool water which cannot go back into the pool once used, so once it's used where does it go?

- pond water with fish, algae, turtles....it's ok to use for gargling?

-pond water is not flowing water, but by the way it's described it's also not stagnant water right?

i think the Visa on arrival (the change comes into force in Oct) will still exclude pakistan, afghy and some other countries. I was thinking of going in April but then found out y'day the change doesnt come in force till Oct...so it'll probs be Dec now at the earliest when we go.

-in the pic on pg. 4 of the water pool. you can see there's a small space right outside the pool. You squat over that so the water falls into there and flows away.
-never seen algae and fish in them myself. but maybe according to fiqh, how big the pool is determines how contaminated it may be. don't know myself, perhaps, someone more knowledgeable can explain.

we reached Jhanjhana late in the evening after sunset.. so couldnt catch a glimpse of the town.. but its a small hamlet.. the resting place of Hazrat Miyanji Noor Muhammed Jhanjhanvi رحمة الله عليه still retains its kaifiyaat (spiritual effect) as it was at the time of our Akabir.. yes Hazrat Madani رحمة الله عليه would send some of his elite khulafa there..

There is a short book on his life by a deobandi alim.. shall post the scan later إن شاء الله

wa Assalam..

Here are some pics of wudu Hawdh (pool)

Usually Hawdh looks like this:

Most of the water falls outside the pool after wudu and flow to the drain. Most of them have stools or elevated blocks around the pool so that you can sit during
wudu.

Here is a pic of a huge pool in a Mosque in Cordoba, Spain:
