The Sunnah of Dawah & Tabligh of the Prophets (peace and infinite blessings be upon them) is very relevant even today...even after thousands of years.
01. Nicolas Boothman, Canada based author, public speaker in his bestseller book 'How To Make People Like You in 90 Seconds or Less' argues FOR face to face, shoulder to shoulder interaction of people over all other forms of communication and connection, in-fact he says the Internet (or to the effect of other non physical forms) is a 'poor substitute for the full spectrum of experience offered by face to face time with another person'. He also says that there are many aspects of association that can ONLY be gauged through physical presence or interaction.
In the book he says the above right in the beginning - which says a lot of its importance.
In addition to this, he also says the first thing while doing the above (physical interaction / communication) is to SMILE :-) which is, no prizes for guessing, is also a SUNNAH.

The Prophet's (peace be upon them) went TO the people, interacted face to face, shoulder to shoulder - this method has enough proofs. Never can a sunnah become irrelevant. People doing this, be sure you are doing not just the right thing, but doing the best form of communication - validated by the Prophet's (peace be upon them) and now even the 21st century 'communication experts' ;-)
More on this later inshaAllah...

(The tanzeem (meaning method) of Nizamuddin incorporates this like no other).

People in the tanzeem of Dawah & tabligh of Nizamuddin are advised to:
a. Go in khurooj in groups (jama'ts).

b. Go in gusht (jowla) (men only) in groups comprising minimum of 3 people and maximum of 8-10 people in which...

c. More on travelling in groups and being with them during travel.
c1. Hadith
d. People in the tanzeem of Dawah and tabligh of Nizamuddin are counselled (mashwara or do's and dont's in khurooj) before they leave in khurooj.
d1. Hadith
e. People in the tanzeem of Dawah and tabligh of Nizamuddin are advised to:
e1. Make dua before leaving in khurooj.
e1a. Hadith
e2. Make dua when they land or arrive at the place where the jama't is going to stay and work, usually when they enter the village, city even before entering the masjid or place of stay (but I believe this isn't applicable in a masturath / ladies jama't - the foremost function above all else at the time of entering the village, city etc is to first disembark the ladies at their place of stay - thease are precautions taken for purdah).
f. People in the tanzeem of Dawah and tabligh of Nizamuddin are advised to:
Head to the masjid, pray 2 rakah salat, give karguzari (account of their time spent in the path of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala) after the end of their khurooj (once they return to their hometown) and only then go back to their homes. Jama'ts in sehroza (3 days) repair to their local mosques. 40 day & 4 months et al. jama'ts repair to the markaz.

A poem amongst many that will be used to drive home some points across the thread.
On journeys through the states
~ Walt Whitman
On journeys through the States we start,
(Ay through the world, urged by these songs,
Sailing henceforth to every land, to every sea,)
We willing learners of all, teachers of all, and lovers of all.
We have watch'd the seasons dispensing themselves and passing on,
And have said, Why should not a man or woman do as much as the
seasons, and effuse as much?
We dwell a while in every city and town,
We pass through Kanada, the North-east, the vast valley of the
Mississippi, and the Southern States,
We confer on equal terms with each of the States,
We make trial of ourselves and invite men and women to hear,
We say to ourselves, Remember, fear not, be candid, promulge the
body and the soul,
Dwell a while and pass on, be copious, temperate, chaste, magnetic,
And what you effuse may then return as the seasons return,
And may be just as much as the seasons.

One of the peculiar and special things about doing Dawah & tabligh in a method which is nearer to the sunnah by leaving home and hearth, comfort and similarities is that inshaAllah on the day of Qiyamah, many many places, the trees, the birds, the mountains, the animals, the people - be it women, men and children belonging to different tribes, the graveyards, the rivers, the seas, the oceans, the modes of travel, farmlands, the marketplaces, the sun, the moon, the stars, the animals of the land, skies and seas, the holy books kept in the masaajids, the mosques themselves, the holy men, the laymen, the creation et al., will stand witness to our miniscule effort - just imagine the number of masjids we will pray our salat and perform our wudhu, do zikr, do gusht etc and if we are lucky enough, even death.
Beautiful, isn't it?
Just be steadfast and take care of ikhlaas.
P.s: Definitely not 'teachers of all'.
This cannot be undone and I am sure it will be greatly appreciated.
Please wait...
