Some of the Salaf said, "Allah (SWT) created the Angels with intellect but without lust and Allah (SWT) created the beasts with lust without the intellect. The son of Adam was created and contained within him are intellect and lust so whoever lets his intellect overrule his lust is in reality with the Angels and whoever lets his lust overrule his intellect is in reality with the beasts.
