I do but for women what hides the Sat’r better Shalwar Qameez or a long loose dress?

Moreover if she has a long loose (shariah) compliant dress then Jilbab is not necessary.

Shalwar Qameez for women is not only hideous (personal opinion) but also less Shariah complaint.

Kameez is the shirt AKA Top/dress/kafni. That's why I only mentioned Shalwar/Trousers, since it is the phrase I was reiterating.

This is a seriously depressing post man! May Allah (SWT) protect everyone and give us all the Noor of Eemaan (Ameen).

Many of these women consider it demeaning to work at home but they have no issues working at McDonalds and asking, “Would you like to supersize for another $1.99!”

Seriously....no need to explain...well I was thinking this should be a sister's topic...but then im thinking maybe it's for the menfolk to teach appropriate dress code to the women in the household.

However..that also depending on who wears the shalwar!

I dislike beard less men and I hate sisters who wear their hijab/jilbab to show their size.

Sisters, you can be petite, BUT for your husband's eyes only. Don't show us that you are a size 8. Please!

I have done a thread on this called, "Does my behind look big in this"

I would ban the banning of shalwar khameez - particularly in the privacy of the house; and, any man who insists* women in their home wear long skirts, dresses or abayas would be allowed to do so only after spending at least an entire day in the privacy of the home working on the tasks the women do while wearing similar clothing that goes below the ankles - especially going up and down stairs while carrying loads of laundry, babies, or food in the arms... free medical care for men while they learn just how much safer shalwar or other 'trouser'ish things are.

(* I know the brother doesn't insist or impose their views on others... insha'Allah no one does.)

When I was in college we had this older friendly “chubby” Southern New Muslim Sister who used to do things around the Masjid. She always used to tell us off all the time and exhort to have manners and respect etc and always saying "Your mother won't be best pleased...". One day we were playing Soccer and the ball went in the parking lot so she comes running “I’ll get that for ya” and tried to kick the ball back over the fence while in her Jilbab & Abaya.

:) :) :) Actually, I shouldn't laugh because she didn’t think it was very funny!

May Allah (SWT) give her Jannah because she passed away many years ago...Superb Sister cleaned the Masjid everyday (without money) and this Pakistani brother married her (20+ years younger than her) and we didn’t know what he saw in her but now I understand, Excellent Sister (she was), just should have wore Shalwar Qameez!

Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi rajioon.

Given the 'dislike' and possibly opening the door to more... perhaps more context is needed since there are shalwar that practically hug the leg (these are not shalwar in the Turkish sense) and then there are the kinds of shalwar I'm more familiar - very baggy and great at hiding the form. That men find them hideous is even better. I don't see the problem if they are unattractive, dull, and topped off with a loose, dull long kurta/tunic/kameez.

That dislike was meant to be a pure winner from me. Apologies for that, there was major pushing and shoving in the London train network, and I don't need to say who my witness is.

I fully agreed with everything in that post and the post after that.

The skin tight trousers you mention are also worn in the Indian subcontinent where they are known as "Churidaar" YUK

I HATE CHURIDAR. (not sure how it's spelt, sorry) they basically look like legins.

Astagfirullah!

(sorry once again)

No worries. Alhamdulillah, it allowed for more context on the pressing issue of shalwar.

Khayr, enough on clothes from me.

Eid's Fajr Salah is one Saff.
Eid prayer Saff is 2.5 times of the masjid size.
