Commentary on the Hikam Ibn Ataillah al Sakandar Ra
Ahmad ibn Muhammad Ibn 'Ata Allah al-Iskandari (may Allah have mercy on him), a Maliki jurist and shaykh of the Shadhili Sufi order was born and in Alexandria, he wrote the, the "Hikam" which� is considered a classical masterpiece in sufi literature. It comprises of a� collection of concise, comprehensive and sublime sayings in the field of self purification (Tazkiya).� Hikam meaning wise sayings, have been extracted from the Quran and Hadith.
Shaykh Zulfiqar Ahmad in Ramadan 2013 took it upon hm self� to shed light upon the "Hikam" in accordance to the naqshbandi silsilah. The original commentary is in Urdu, but a English translation is also been provided by Shaykh Kamaluddin Ahmed.
