**New Charity Launching Soon in Hackney**

 

Nawaal Benevolence Fund (NBF)

 

Collecting Zakah, Sadaqa and Lillah from LOCALS and distributing it to LOCALS in need in Hackney/London.

 

NBF is managed by a board which comprises reputable local brothers and scholars.

Alhumdulillah, NBF is now able to accept zakah, sadaqa and lillah. Donations can be given to Shaykh Mohammed Umar Dana (Cazenove area) and Musa Jabbar (Clapton, Stamford Hill, Dalston and Stokenewington areas).

Inshallah all the collected funds will be used to help needy LOCAL brothers and sisters in the Hackney (and nearby) areas.

REMINDER: You can donate zakah and sadaqah all year round to the Nawaal Benevolence Fund charity based in Hackney. The charity's main purpose is to provide aid/assistance to poor and needy Muslims primarily in Hackney and generally around London. For further info email [email protected] (its like the National Zakah Foundation but operates on a smaller localised scale)

QURBANI DISTRIBUTION IN HACKNEY, HARINGEY & WALTHAM FORREST

This Eid al-Adha the Nawaal Fund (www.nawaal.org) intends to distribute qurbani/udhiya meat to local needy and vulnerable groups. Recipients may include:-

• previous/current Nawaal Fund Muslim applicants
• local less well-off Muslim families
• local women’s shelters (mostly housing Muslim women and their children)
• local homeless orgs / soup kitchens
• local refugee centres (many who are Muslim)

If anyone wishes to donate funds for purchase their udhiya/qurbani animal please email [email protected]. Approx price per animal is £125 (-/+£5). Due to logistical constraints only full animals are required. A maximum of 20 animals are required.

The Nawaal Fund is a registered charity which provides assistance to locals in Hackney, Haringey & Waltham Forrest

Alhumdulillah many locals from our community have previously provided various forms of support to both our local (Hackney) women’s shelters.

Hackney women’s shelters mainly house Muslim women and children fleeing domestic abuse. One of the shelters provides support to children out of which 95% are Muslim. Insha'allah Nawaal Fund would like to provide gifts for all the children that are dependent on the shelters regardless of their religious background.

The two shelters provide services & support to 30 children (15 boys & 15 girls) of various ages. We hope to raise £30 per child (total £900)

ONLINE: Lillah/sadaqah donations can be made online via www.nawaal.org/donate

IN PERSON: Those who would like contribute cash in person please contact Ibrahim (Clapton E5) at [email protected]
